These are great and well worth the price for $28, great audio on calls too

  • No ANC?

    • +3

      100% volume works well lmao

      • 💀 The only catch is it works less well over time

  • +5

Keep in mind these things do look like bolts sticking out of your ears, and given the unusual weight distribution they do have a habit of falling out of ears very easily. I have a pair and can confirm. Otherwise they work well!

    • +3

Maybe the silicon tips are too large for your ears. I run long distances with these, and they stay put. Would you consider trying smaller tips?

      • +7

I've tried the different tips that come with them. To be honest, very thin silicone isn't designed to support the weight of the buds, only to seal around the ear canal. I guess given the weight distribution, they just aren't supported well by my ear shape. The classic earpod type design works much better for me.

I just wanted to let people know that this design style isn't for everyone

I own around six pairs of these and the only time I've ever had them fall out is where I've tempted fate by wearing them in the ocean while I put my head under the waves (it actually stayed in for about twenty minutes in heavy surf before I lost it).

Probably just depends a lot on the shape of your ear holes.

      Edit: forgot some words.

      • +6

why do you own 6 pairs?

        keep losing one each time?

        • That's $167.94. What the… that's a very good budget for better earbuds?

          • @azngamer: He's a surfer. They lose ish

          • @azngamer: But then I'd only have a single pair. Except I probably wouldn't even have them, because I lose things.

        • +2

I should have been more precise; it's more like I've owned around six pairs (currently have three in rotation; lost the others).

          As to why:

          • constantly listening to podcasts or audiobooks
          • have ADHD so I lose earphones (etc.) all the time
          • cheaper ones are smarter purchases when the likelihood of losing them is so high
          • cheaper ones are also smarter purchases when I don't care for the features of the higher priced ones
          • I use different pairs for different devices

Oh, and I'm also deaf in one ear so 6 pairs basically == 12 single earphones.

I am also, for the record, not a surfer. I just enjoy the surf (i.e., large ocean waves).

          • @yeahna: Are these designed to be used in either ear or do you just jam the other side into your good ear?

            • +1

@alcadive: Honestly not sure about their intended use, but they're basically mirrored versions of each other and I find they both fit snugly in my good ear.

I've been using these for a year now and they've been amazing value — not perfect, but you get 80% of the performance of high-end earbuds for 10% of the price

They are good for the price but like the guru says, "Life's too short for anything but the best headphones you can buy."

    • Do you have any recommendations?

      • Not really a recommendation but I've this and the P20i, and find the P20i stays more securely in my ears and seem to have similar sound quality.

ATL, but it has been this price or slightly higher since September 2023 https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0BTYBVR4S
I was gonna buy as a backup but now I can buy it when I actually need it. Good option

These type of earphones with soft silicone tips always give me itchy ears, whereas the plain hard plastic ones don't.

    Paid $22.19 last year

Will double up what one comment above states too…

These fall out very easy. I've had it happen numerous times and I've tried all of the ear pieces that are supplied, but for some reason, they do I dees fall out easy

Ove managed to find them each time, yet the last time I couldn't, so left with one and at that point, I chucked it and haven't replaced.

Have one. Fits snugly into my ears. Much better than the Apples stuffs. Great value for money.

  • +3

I'm picky with audio equipment, and these are very solid.

  • Personally I think the Liberty 4 NC ones are great, and I do use them a lot on public transport and supermarket shopping and riding a bike so I was happy to pay more for the NC

    • I don't know that I would want NC ones if riding a bike, esp in traffic

      • -1

I only ride quiet roads and bike paths at a slow speed so it’s generally ok. But I do agree with you regarding busy roads which I avoid.

    • Looks like there's a significant price difference.

      • There is, but I am glad I got them. They fit very well and have been a joy to own

  • Anyone can compare with creative zen air 2 that were around this price and had NC?

  • These are awesome for the price.

  • I’ve been really happy with the Moondrop Space Travel earphones for the last 6 months. They have ANC and a stem design rather than this in-ear design that usually doesn’t work with my small ears

  • Not sure why but since moving to the iPhone 14, the other end of a phone call is complaining about very poor audio quality, as in excessive background noise. I think Apple have removed noise cancellation from the device. Maybe an attempt to force you to purchase airpods?

Just bought these as a backup set, these are great for the price. Equalizer on Piano, very good value for money

  • Go check out Nothing ear from Nothing, they are very cool too. I am tired of all black electronics.
