    I didn't see the email so I downloaded the afterpay app to see if the promo code method would work. It did end up working. I also didn't have marketing emails enabled (which is why I didn't receive the email). Still worked though. My last after pay purchase was also 3 years ago so I guess that's what made me eligible for this

            yes that Coles GC can swap to most other GCs (one-off, but still exclude ebay).

        I think they redeemed this with their account, AND performed a referral. Account needs to have been used, but inactive for some arbitrary period

    I didn’t receive an email invitation but l tried to put promo code ‘ WELCOMEBACK30 ‘ in afterpay app and it worked. So l purchased gift card $75 afterpay everyday gifting card for swapping 150 brands including Woolworths, Coles, Ampol, BP, Amazon , eBay , officework, bunning, Myer, Kmart, Uber, doordash. Supercheap auto and many more online stores is swapable. This card has add separately in Preezzee app. After received confirmation purchased an email.

    In my opinion l think this is the best choice to spend $45 split in 4 = $11.25 installment x 4 and received a value of gift card $75. Thank for posting this on ozbargain. Normally Targeted offer l never get invitation email including this afterpay too but code worked for me this time. Thx!!!

    I got an email from them saying to just open the email on a mobile and click to claim, but when I open it in a mobile the click now button isn't showing to be able to claim anything? (It shows on my web browser, but then I can't claim it there as it has to go to the app) I used the Welcomeback30 code as above (added manually) and that worked, so I assume that the prepopulated code that would have been added in the app would be that one?

            @CodeXD: The instructions mentioned that the merchant receipt would be the full amount (which it was), but the Afterpay Orders section will show the discount (which it didn't). Hopefully support can sort it out for me.

      Update: The support ticket person came back claiming that after a thorough investigation they found that the promo is only eligible for some merchants. Luckily I had the promo T&Cs screenshotted and never once was this mentioned. Once I shared that / threatened to go to ACCC and AFCA, they were quick to fix things and apply the discount to the order. So I suspect they play hardball when promos don't apply properly, but if you persevere you can get the right outcome.

        yeh I've spent a day going back and forth with complete circular conversations and the chat support they take hours to respond and come back with vague statements like "we see your trying to apply a promo" then 2 hours later the next part of the statement. now the app conversations section just sits there with spinning wheel.

        This email came in this morning after asking for help applying the code to my account so I could use it on a urgent purchase.

        Dear Customer,
        The email you received is legitimate, and you're eligible for the $30 promo/discount since you were selected for this promotion.

        What's the promo/discount?

        $30 off when customers spend $60+

        How will you know if you are eligible?
        You need to open your email on mobile and click to activate to apply the promo to your account. You have 7 days from the time of receiving the email to claim and redeem (spend) your promo

        But repeated attempts to reach them on chat and over email, they just ignore me so I am almost guessing their email support is not a person either, Joy is probably a email chat bot.

                    @G-rig: Way too many.. we ozbargainers can get carried away chasing a buck. In the end the response to my complaint was closed with a viscous response from someone called Alexandrea who basically said investigation done and case closed thank you for you time. Subtle way of saying f off I guess. I'll unsubscribe from afterpay I guess to avoid further temptation!
