The MacRumors buying guide lists them as 'Caution: Approaching End of Life', along with a number of other rumours pointing towards an impending release (Sep/Oct, most likely based on past launches?).
So far, beyond a redesign - the only other rumour of note has been to introduce the heart rate monitoring that first appeared in the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2.
It goes through this cycle every month or so, so who knows

Thanks for the heads up. FYI OfficeWorks on the phone said they couldn't price-match BigW website because it did not include the apple product code. Annoying.
Didn’t have the same experience in store, just 10min ago.
Staff member (Store Supervisor) both took me at my word, when I said that i’ve checked and these are the same product code; and anyone with a brain knows Apple doesn’t have different product codes anyway.

Ended up getting JB to price-match BigW via live chat, then $30 off JB perks voucher brought it down to $299. Happy days.
Weird, perks voucher isn't working for me as it says excludes Apple
@Reubzy: Didn't work for me either on the original price, but the voucher worked on the price-matched product (maybe the invoice generated by the live chat person didn't mark the price match price as an Apple product…) But otherwise not sure :-/

Well done - JB Online Chat wouldn't price-match as I couldn't order it online from any store (just says add to wish list). They gave me a 'JB Deal' by reducing it by $3, and the $30 perks voucher also did not work. Contemplating what to do from here.
@hobbes7: Call Officeworks and ask to beat Costco ($339) by their standard 5% — you'll get the airpods for $322.5, so about $10 dearer than you would have got by Officeworks price-matching BigW, but still a decent deal if you need AirPods now, and still cheaper than buying from BigW.
