Seems like a solid windows laptop for the price. Should have a really good battery life as well due to the Snapdragon processor.

IMO better off with the Lenovo from Outlet if looking for a snapdragon laptop.

Wow those are really good specs! Perhaps worth posting as a deal?

        It's a certified refurbished

        • +1

Yeah, not new, wondering such a new spec laptop, how can they already have certified refurbished.

          Are they bad, refurbished?

          • +1

@superforever: new one is an extra $100 at centrecom

            • @matt-ozb: The closest Centre Com model I could find is 16\512 GB at $1099..
The Lenovo outlet model is 32\1TB..
Not sure of any other spec differences

      • You are welcome to.

Someone posted it a while ago when it was slightly more expensive, but went out of stock quickly.

Don't know how much stock they have this time.

        • Wondering what the actual condition is like for these refurbished laptops? Any idea?

          • +1

@bruceclipse: I have never ordered from Lenovo outlet, but from what I heard they are basically brand new. Maybe they are unused / lightly used returns.

or get new one from centrcom for an extra $100

      • It is $360 more and they have no stock.

  • I really want the tab s10 ultra but if I buy it with the mediatek d9300+ they will update it with the SDX and i will feel small.

  • Are ARM laptops good or just a gimmick? A few months back, I heard performance was bad for certain apps.

I heard performance was bad for certain apps.

Some old apps, need to use emulation, may have performance issue.

I think it depends on what you do with your laptop. I've been using mine since launch and am really happy with it. I kept my old Intel laptop just in case but I haven't had to switch back yet for everyday use (Chrome, Edge, MS Office, Teams, Zoom, etc). Less common software like Tailscale, REW, Falcon Design Space, Splashtop, GP PrintStation also work fine.

The long battery life, the ability to not wake up in your bag and drain the battery, and really quick wakeup makes it a joy to use.

      • lol waking up in your bag and starts boiling

      • How do games perform?

        • No idea, but it's not a gaming laptop so don't expect too much. There's a list here though.

          • @eug: Thanks. Fortnite: Unplayable.

            Ah, well.

    • Yup, might make a good work laptop where you are only meant to run a handful of blessed apps anyway. This is also a budget version. Might want to read a review to see if it suits: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-X-Plus-8-c…

      • I love the idea of a mobile chip powerful enough to run a laptop. I hear it has good battery life and fanless. Maybe not all models.

But I would really like a thin, light, long battery life laptop that can also play some games on it.
