I do not have x10 enabled appliances at home, but for those of you who do, this might be interesting (was $8.49 apparently):

iHomeTouch is an innovative home automation app to use with your X10 enabled home. With its intuitive interface, the entire family will no longer struggle to use your X10 devices. We've made it our mission to create an app that's simple to use, innovative and feature rich.

iHomeTouch utilises the iDevices' camera and Image Library to create Rooms. Rooms can have multiple buttons which are defined by pressing your finger on the screen. That area can be preset to turn on any of your X10 devices.

Touch to Turn On / Off / Dim or Brighten:

Simply by touching the photo, you can turn a device on or off and even adjust the brightness.

iHomeTouch works in both portrait and landscape orientation, but it's in landscape, that the app really comes to life in. So much so that, we believe, you'll want to mount your iPhone/iPod Touch and iPads on the wall as dedicated home automation remote controls.

    All I have found is the ActiveHome Pro SDK

    does anyone know how to turn a normal lamp to home automation lamp? I want to be able to switch on/off the lamp using my iphone as a remote control. Using WiFi or 3G network would be great.

      Yes. Just throw your iphone directly at the light bulb. Simple.

        thanks your reply roughana. that product looks awesome and I'd like to know the principle of how it works. Is there some kind of IC chip there in the lamp, which is used to receive the signals from your iphone? I'm more interested in integrating the chip with other hardwares so you'll be able to switch it on/off using your iphone.
