    20" too small.

    Well thats what she said

How deep is your love ?!

      • Deep enough to admit its not deep enough.

  • Anyone got experience with this monitor? Would you recommend for WFH?

I am considering a cheap monitor to use with my work laptop when WFH… mainly MS word/excel/project/visio and mapping work.

32” is the minimum you want to go for productivity. Makes a huge difference having 2 applications side-by-side.

      • Yeah, I missed that cheap Samsung ultra wide 34" from a few days ago. I'd have been happy paying $200-ish for that. I might just hold out a bit longer given the comments below about the HP's image quality.

You may be overestimating the quality of a budget HP monitor. Personally I won't be opting for any cheap HP models again and I believe you will quickly realize how bad they are if you go for one. I would rather pay a bit more for a decent Dell monitor.

      • This. Exact experience. Went for a cheap Akai 24" FHD monitor and it was terrible to look at text (word doc and spreadsheets). Bought a 34" 4K Dell monitor and it's been a game changer for me.

  • Think I'd rather get one of the dozen 144hz monitors at this price point.

    • You mentioned a dozen but didn't link to one?

      • 180hz IPS so it'll cost a bit extra but MSI G255F is $158 at various stores, including ones you can pick up locally. It only takes 2 minutes to find better monitors than the bottom of the barrel 'deal' in the OP using pcpartpicker, it doesn't even do something niche like power out so it doesn't have that office use angle. Don't blame me if you can't do a basic search.

If you don't mind a VA panel, AOC 24G15N is $119 and also 180hz.

    • IPA > VA though for anything not gaming

Pity for $30 more you can get a QHD @100Hz on Amazon.

This needs to be highlighted as it's a significant step up for not much more ($170 delivered) so will neg to bring attention to this better deal.

@WatchNerd: I bought that panel about ~10 days ago for $129 (20% lightning deal and $30 off coupon)

            damn fine deal

      • Damn, that's a good deal for that price. Just ordered one for the wife to use for WFH/studying.

Full-HD 1920x1080 pixels is good for up to 24” monitors. At 27” the pixels are so far apart that the monitor starts to look blurry and pixelated due to the resolution. For this size of monitor, you want QHD 2560 x 1440.

Can get cheaper and better monitors from places like centrecon

    Eg.
