    Ooff.

These “deals” are hard to stomach after the Techfast deal.

    Especially that 5080 build…

Totally understand where you're coming from! The GPU market is pretty inflated right now, and we're passing on savings as much as we can. Our builds are still priced below retail pricing, and we're working hard to keep them as competitive as possible. We're also a small business, so while we might not have the same bulk purchasing power as bigger players, we're constantly looking for ways to lower prices and bring the best value to the community. Appreciate the feedback!

This is too expensive and low config compared to other PC deals on ozbargain

    • +4

ITX builds always come at a premium due to the ITX tax—smaller form factor parts like ITX motherboards, SFX power supplies, and compact cases cost significantly more than their ATX counterparts. Despite this, we’ve worked hard to price our build below retail while still using quality components. We know there are cheaper ATX deals out there, but for those looking for a high-performance, compact build, this is solid value considering the current market.

  • +15

Going by your numbers this is a 2.7% savings in a market where parts are currently overpriced - I just can't recommend this.

Thank you for your feedback. We completely understand that the current market conditions are less than ideal, and component prices are higher than usual due to factors such as increased costs for components and shortages. We've priced this build as competitively as possible while maintaining the quality of the components and offering a 3-year warranty for peace of mind. As a small business, we may not benefit from the same bulk discounts as larger system integrators, but we are continually working to improve our pricing and pass on savings where we can. It's important to note that, while we aim to offer value, we are also a business and need to ensure profitability to sustain growth. With the current cashback offer, the price would be $139 less than the hassle of building the system yourself, especially when considering the potential challenges of managing individual warranties and the time spent assembling the system. We appreciate your honest input, as it helps us refine our offerings moving forward.

      • It's about value relative to other offers available on the market, and this one is just not cutting it unfortunately.

You have to remember this is ozbargain, and you aren't going to get very far if your deal isn't competitive, and the size of your business being small isn't going to be worth that much to a majority of folks.

  • Nice to see an ITX build but it’s a shame it’s in one of the biggest cases you can get. At 24L it’s more mATX with ITX components. If you’re spending that much surely an extra $100 for the A4-H2O or something similar would be worth it to cut the size in half.

    • Thanks for the feedback! We get that smaller cases like the A4-H2O are appealing, but the reason we went with the Corsair 2000D Airflow is that it offers better clearance for both the CPU cooler and GPU. In tighter cases, there just isn't enough space to fit larger components like the Thermalright Assassin X 120 cooler and the RTX 5070Ti without causing potential airflow issues or fitting problems. We wanted to make sure everything fits properly and runs cool, which is why we chose this case.
That being said, we appreciate the suggestion and will definitely keep it in mind for future builds!

      • +1

I mean, the 240aio slot in the A4-H2O will outperform the assassin 120 by a sizable amount…

GPU clearance is pretty big though, especially considering the current market availability of the smaller skus.

You can cool a 5090 in 5-6L cases 1/4 the size of the 2000D so that's not really a concern, it's mostly the smaller models like innox3 and FE are unavailable.

2 year old cpu and 2 year old motherboard build for $3000+ , Dang.

  • +13

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/MTMCgn
You can build a better PC for less than $100 extra with the 7800x3d and a gen 4 SSD.

    • Was just thinking the same thing could just mix and match some parts to get a pretty good deal for the prince instead of this.

  • +2

Gross pricing, you can get a 7800X3D build with a 9070XT for $2650, might be a tad slower at 4k but would be much faster at 1440p or 4k upscaled since I'm pretty sure that 7700 with slow RAM would be a major bottleneck. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/896527

    If you need ITX there's a similar priced 9070XT build with a 9800X3D: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/896759

or if you're set on spending around that much anyway for Nvidia and don't need ITX then theres a 7800X3D and 5080 build for $3300: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/895132

    • The out of stock 7800x3d/5080 was a killer deal and no longer around unfortunately

      • Oh, I thought it was since the post wasn't marked as such when I made my post and the website didn't show it (even now it only shows when adding to cart).
This should still be in stock for $2800 if you really want Nvidia: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/894476 (7800X3D + 5070TI)

        • The post is marked as out of stock. I get your argument though, especially since 7700s can be grabbed dirt cheap on aliex

  • +4

I think it's worth pointing out that it takes time and labour to actually build these systems. I'm sure you could get parts slightly cheaper elsewhere but you still need to factor in the build time and warranty support.

  • Rich ricks !

    • Overpriced CPU ($254 on AliExpress)
    • Overpriced and slow ram
    • 3k+ in a built with $29 CPU cooler
    • Motherboard without Pcie 5.0

Sorry, this is a hard pass deal.

  • +2

Nothing against op but the 5070 is very underwhelming

  • ITX Components are relatively expensive but CPU in this build…umm
