[Price Error] Redeem 18 PERi Points (Normally 180 Points) for 1/4 PERi-PERi Chicken + Cheesy Garlic + Reg Side Pick-Up @ Nando's

2380

Feel free to roast on first deal post.

Basically it appears that online orders for Nandos's current LTO's are redeemable for 1/10th of what the normal redemption is.

i.e. 1/4 PERi-PERi Chicken + Cheesy Garlic + Reg Side -> Pay with 18 points (normal redemption rate would cost 180 loyalty points).

Points are accrued at a $1:1 point, and redeemable at 10 point:$1 redeemable (more accurately 1 point:10 cents). If I understand correct this is making it $1 spend:1 Point:$1 redeemable.

Look's to work for both meals under the LTO section on the app. Haven't tested with delivery.
Edit: Only the 1/4 Chicken Offer. Working with delivery apparenty.

Too bad they banned my account (I think) because I ate for free for an entire month one time.

    • +2

How did you manage to do this?

      • +17

Some voucher promo they had running back then, had unlimited redemptions.

        • +9

Pricks. Huge ripoff anyway and they refuse to take cash.

          • +11

@Mike Nolan: Yeah it was actually my first time having Nando’s. And as of now, my last 🤣 It’s such a ripoff, if I was to pay.

But I’m happy I got the opportunity to try out Nando’s: https://imgur.com/a/xW0btVj

            @Mike Nolan: is that legal?

            • +2

@Barry off EastEnders: Yeah, businesses can choose to accept or deny cash. Unfortunately.

              • -8

@I Smell Pennies: They also won't let me pay by bartering bales of hay. Outrages!

Not accpeting cash reduces costs and staff aren't having to touch filthy money.

                • +6

@PainToad: Lmfao wtf are you on about reduces costs, the banks love tap and go because they get a cut everytime hence the push to cashless. Currently the majority of cafes do illegal practice of not informing there is a surcharge, so if your coffee is $5 and you tap and its $5.17 they are suppose to inform you of the actual price prior. Must be a fun day when there is an outage at nandos lol.

The only saving is the dumb kids they hire require less brain power because they dont need to know how to count. Just press the start transaction button.

Having Armaguard come and collect and transport money constantly and/or paying staff to deposit money to the bank would cost more.

Then there's the additional insurance costs for the business if they have money onsite.

Must be a fun day when there is an outage at nandos lol.

The majority of the time if there's an outage it's due to power. If there's no power, then registers can't be used for cash or cashless. For the very rare cases there's an internet/payment system outage it's a small loss.

@PainToad: Its a chicken shop not a supermarket why the f@#$ would they need armaguard for 1k of cash? It cost extra for the manager to go deposite the funds as part of the paid job they already do? Because they have no set salary or anything? What do all the chinese or viet or leb resturants do?? Shock horror, thats right they go to the business atm and deposit.

I think they'd collect more than 1k in cash a day. Especially if there was a lot of 'cash is king' boomers and cookers in the area.

It cost extra for the manager to go deposite the funds as part of the paid job they already do?

Restaurants close after banks funny enough and leaving cash onsite overnight would increase the insurance costs even more.

Probably have much more dodgy policies when it comes to staff safety, hygiene and insurance.

At the end of the day, they're a business and they've deicded accepting cash is not worth it. Don't like it, go somewhere else. Prehaps back in time.

@RBZ10: The hungry jacks I worked at used to do 3-5k a day min 10-12k on weekends sometimes more on sundays (circular quay) and yeah initially on week days the store manager would deposit the money to him, but one of the managers apparently got robbed so they made the switch to using them on weekdays. Also I believe the manager was getting paid a little extra to do the rounds at the bank.

                    • @PainToad: Lol you're absolutely just making stuff up trying to pass it off as fact.

                • +3

@PainToad: I can’t believe that you actually believe that garbage and see it as a positive

                  • -4

@nubzy: What exactly is garbage? Do tell.

                    • +1

@PainToad: Lol what do you mean @nubzy you referenced my comment but tagged paintoad.

In terms of fees they are def a real thing. Daylight robbery the fees they charge, about as bad as when sms used to be 25c each

                • @PainToad: I'd love to rebuttle but I'm afraid I'll get silenced by the globalist banks

                  • +1

@donman92: Rebuff by the globalist banks? The banks would be cheering for you, they want the cashless society that way they just charge fees for hosting a database and can remove branches significantly reducing there costs. they already have the IT costs they just reducing staff and physical liabilities.

          • @Mike Nolan: Cash is king.

            • -2

              @eccaz:

              king

Yep, good analogy. Monarchy’s are archaic, quickly loosing relevance and only boomers really still care, just like cash. 👍

Hopefully remaining unpatched before dinner time in AWST…..

    • +3

You can order for pick up later. But now that I have told OzB I'm not sure whether it will go that long without being patched/orders cancelled….

      • +1

        Thanks I did such

Looking forward to my pending Nandos Points insolvency

  • Ordered!

  • +2

Too bad our points expired or else we would have gotten 2 meals free haha

    • Same here :(

    • +1

Expired? How long they are valid for?

      • +2

I think the points will expire after a 12 months period of inactivity, but if you keep your account active then they won’t expire.

I usually just buy the cheesy garlic pitas (cheapest item I could find) one month before my birthday, so I get the $15 birthday voucher the following month plus my account stays active.

        • +1

this is a great idea, I missed out on my birthday reward this year since I didn't have any purchase in the 12 months leading

          • @CodeXD: Also the purchase has to be made in the 6 months prior to your birthday month iirc.

I love their chickens but find them overpriced, so I only ever buy it with the birthday voucher or whenever there's a BOGO offer.

  • Doesn't work for me with the app or browser

    • +1

It's only for the 1/4 chicken offer

  • Scheduled 2 meals for pick up. Thanks 😊

  • my points can only afford 1 of the 1/4 chicken

  • +2

Don't have any points to use 😅

  • -1

  • Damn my store is suposedly out of chips. Worst timing to run out of chips

    • +2

      • +6

        Big Nandos conspiracy

      • It’s because of a potatoes shortage?

        • +1

Lol I logged into my Nando's account just to see I haven't used it since 2018 😂

  • +1

Does Nando give points instantly once ordered? Looking to earn 18 points by placing an $17.95 order with payment, then use points for another order today.

    • Have the same question.

    • Yes

    • +3

Ok. Just ordered and can confirm it does! So, buy 1 free 1!

      • +1

        Buy one get one2share

      • +3

You got 18 points for spending $17.95?

EDIT: confirmed it works! if you have 0 points, buy 1/4 chicken meal for $17.95 and check out. You'll instantly get 18 points to buy another one free!

    ORDERED 5 LETS GO

  • Awesome post, thanks for dinner!

  • +1

Thanks OP. Ordered for delivery. Had to pay 50 points for delivery ($5).

  • Works only on 1/4 chicken meal option not on the others (medium 1L sauce or perinaise classic meal)

    • Thanks, updated.

  • Damn i was there two hours ago.

  • Logged in today and noticed that Nandos just removed all the points I had amassed over many years :(

    • I got mine reactivated when I emailed them nicely.

  • +2

hm how to get points haha

    • me too

  • +2

Delivery for 72pts also not too bad

    • +1

That's like $72 worth of points or 4 meals lol??

      • +1

$7.20 worth of points or 4 meals with this error.

        • Points are accrued at a $1:1 point,

It would take an extra $72 spend to re-accrue those points no?

I guess if you're ordering 4 meals not one it's worth.

          • @pennypincher98:

It would take an extra $72 spend to re-accrue those points no?

If you spend $2000 at Woolworths and earn 2000 Everyday Rewards points, do you have $2000 worth of points or $10 worth of points?

  • Dinner sorted. Thank you !!!

  • I need a minimum of 10 sauce packets

  • Thanks OP! Ordered 3 for delivery and have the driver heading the Nandos now.

50 points for delivery but still a cracker deal.

  • Looks like it’s over ?

    • +1

      Just tried and still working

  • OP, amazing first deal! Thanks. Ordered 4. Dinner for family sorted!

  • Thanks OP. Ordered :)

  • For some reason delivery is not working. Ordered for pickup.

  • Says 18 points and I was able to place the order for pickup but it still says $17.95 total. Hope they won’t try charge me at the store

  • Hot first deal!

    Dinner sorted, cheers OP.

  • +1

I dont have any points, but FOMO and spend $17.95 for two sets so I can BOGOF..
    🤣

    • Can you preorder and cancel?

      • Wow never thought of it…

      • Has anyone tried this method?

  • Still works, ordered for pickup later - hopefully they dont run out of chicken….

  • [Price Error]

I think it's [Point Error]. Too bad Nando never has any deals for long so I lost my account. Should I bother to create a new acc just for this deal?

  • +1

    Just ordered 3. Thanks.

  • Happy to see a sweet deal for the Nando’s lovers. But am I the only one that thinks their “food” is sh1t?
