  • Ooo this or ecovax x8

    • I have a Chinese version x8 pro that I bought directly from China and bring back to Sydney, It is really really good. x8 pro sells very good even locally China. But Eufy doesn't sell domestically in China, the main reason I think its not good enough.

      • +1

Kind of the feeling I was getting, I was tempted to aliexpress one but then 6mth warranty vs 30 month for extra $600 locally I think might be worth it to buy local

        • +6

I don't recommend you to buy directly from China or Aliexpress, the warranty is very important.
The only reason I bought from China is because I go to China many times a year, and if it breaks I can easily sent it to fix with the 3 years warranty they provided to me.

  • +3

i have this and the mopping is good.

  • +4

Using it for 6 months… indeed a great mop performance

  • Anyone use this on hardwood floors? Thoughts?

    • +4

I have this and home is mostly hardwood, no residue, no water streaks.. it mops better than the spinning pads I used to have.. it does it alot quicker too. The liquid is also auto dispense in the dock itself

      • It's interesting I've just come across this review and I've not really seen others to compare but it doesn't sound super favourable?
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QGwnkAYEX0

Does it leave your floors wet at all or does it do a good job drying?

        • +1

App has settings water usage low medium or high… Mine on medium , after mop approx 30 sec to be dry

        • I saw this thread as well. Not so great. https://www.reddit.com/r/eufyS1Pro/comments/1fvgg2m/eufy_omn…

        • You can see one of the comments on the video:
"I have the Eufy S1 Pro and I can tell, the robot doesn't keep rotating when navigating like you see in this video, furthermore it does not leave areas uncleaned. The unit used in this video probably is damaged or an old firmware."

        • +1

I also have this robo mop/vac; very happy with performance. Entirely hardwood floors, only notice the odd streak and that it take a couple of minutes to dry if a) cleaning dirty water reservoir is overdue or b) using the highest water setting. On medium setting, it's great.

  • +1

I hate mopping, this will do me a lot of good. Very tempting, 3 hours to decide.

How's the consumables? say once a week mopping, over 6 months?

    • +2

I've had mine since November, mopping and vacuuming twice a week.
I haven't had to change any of the consumables yet, not even the dust bag but I am approaching the life of the mop. I'll probably take it out, assess, clean it if it's still good and reuse it. YMMV though.

  • +4

I've had this for a few months now and completely recommend it for those with hard flooring. The mopping performance is truly impressive.

  • +1

How does it stack up against Roborock's S8 pro ultra/S8 MaxV ultra?
    Thanks

    • +3

S8 Pro has better vacuuming, but if you are mostly hardwood/tile floor, the Eufy has superior mopping.

      • -1

which is cheaper? is how much better is the eufy?

main reason for asking is i prefer a model with domestic stock and support. especially for consumables

        • +1

          Eufy is best-in-class for mopping.

Roborock vs Eufy - It depends if you need better mop or vacuum.

          • @Caring: need a mop solution for my mum that doesnt suck at vacuum

im assuming even though its best in class for mopping eufys vacuuming isnt too bad either? does it work ok against dog fur?

  • How does it deal with rugs? Can it mop+vacuum around the rug, but use vacuum only on the rug itself?

    • Robovac has lift function, app has settings to vacuum the rug , use higher suction on rug ,mop the carpet ..

    • Yes, it will automatically lift the mop into itself and vacuum the rug. I don't have any high pile rugs, but apparently it doesn't do well cleaning those. No issues with my low pile rug though.

      • Does it automatically detect the rug, or do you need to program it with the rug's location?

  • In multi storey or split level homes, do you move it up and down? Like one week you put the whole thing downstairs, then move it to upstairs the following week?

    • +1

App allows storing of multiple maps. You turn it on then pause once mop is washed. (Approx 1min) After that carry robovac it manually upstairs

      • does it detect stairs safely?

        • on the second floor it wont fall onto the stairs - hasnt happened to me before. it has fall sensor

  • Oh man.. I am tempted..

  • Man this is tempting. Do any of them have this mop with a mains water connection?

    • +4

They just released the auto refill and drain accessory in the US for the S1 Pro. Should be here shortly I'd think.
      https://www.eufy.com/products/t29m0011?srsltid=AfmBOopheZujF…

      • Suddenly this is looking a lot more attractive - thanks!

      • +1

So without this accessory, does the dirty water tank need to be emptied manually? Does the dock clean the mop roller?

Edit: nvm I decided to get off my arse and look myself.

        10-in-1 UniClean Station
With it's auto emptying, washing, refilling, heated air drying, Eco-Clean Ozone, waste water collection, detergent dispensing, LCD touch control, hygiene dust bag and faster charging, it ensures unparalleled cleaning with ease and efficiency, offering a worry-free cleaning experience like never before.

        • +2

I also reckon the feature that makes the S1 Pro stand out is that it constantly washes the mop within the robot as it’s mopping, so it’s not dragging a dirty mop around your house. It squeegees out the dirty water and sprays fresh water onto the mop.

          • @Kelvin H.: Yeah that’s cool. How’s the obstacle avoidance on yours?

            • +2

@andresampras: Great, it mapped my place out real quick. Admittedly, I didn't appreciate it's navigational abilities until my pup did her business inside and the robot actively went around it.
I had an S5 Max before which I was used to bumping into furniture and walls. None of that with the S1 Pro, it stops short of objects and goes around it.

      • I’m confused, does the JB version Auto-Refill and Drain?

        • +1

No. The robot automatically refills and drains, but not the dock.

  • What are the chances to grab 3 x $500 TCN gift cards from Woolworths at this time? :D

    • not good - cos you would only be able to enter one of the gift cards as payment online. Unless you can find a store open at this hour and do split payment

      • I have exchanged and used multiple gift cards online recently (in March), unless things have changed.

But probably best to use this time to decided buy or no buy than running around looking for gift cards then miss the clock.

        • can def do multiple JB hifi gift cards but the TCN gift cards you are entering as payment like a credit card. So unless I missed something, it wont allow split payments unless u can convert the TCN gift cards to JB gift cards

          • +2

@mrshorty: More for future reference, you can swap TCN gift card to JB Hi-Fi gift card online, emailed almost instantaneously.

But there is a risk of delay, then it won't be sort until tomorrow.

            • @browser: awesome thanks - i was looking for something like this last time!

  • I can get this for $1443 after 5% gift cards. Very tempting…..

    • +1

Ffs someone took the last pickup at Robina now I have to pay $10 shipping

      • +1

All the stores I checked in Sydney only had 1, now only Bondi Junction has the last one. People are buying.

    • Maximum $1000 discounted e-gift cards at 5%

      • I bought more than $1000 at 5% off tonight using Reward Gateway

  • Damn, bought the Deebot X8 Omni Pro a few weeks back when they were both full price. Probably would have gone with this if the price was $1500 at the time!

    • I’m about to pull the trigger on x8 Omni, what would you do?

      • +1

For $1500 this hands down if you have mainly hardwood or tile floors. The vacumming is average but the mopping is next level. Only reason I went with the X8 Omni was needing one at the time, both were full price and the vacuuming is much better as I have half/half downstairs. But for $1500 I would have sacrificed that for the Eufy.

        • +1

Interesting, I just heard stories this one has a lot more maintenance and is fussy with its dirty tank and its sensors?

          • @WhatsThisThenSlaat: Yeah I've heard of those too on things like YT & the robotvacuum subreddit. Doesn't seem to be widespread. The drips on the floor were another. No machine is perfect and I would just exchange it if I had a machine that did it.

        • +1

Also without coming across rude, how are you basing this one being better than the one you have? Just video or did you trial it?

          • @WhatsThisThenSlaat: Fair question! Yes trialled my mates one for a week while he was in Bali. Loved the mopping, felt the carpet cleaning was no better than the Eufy L60 SES I already have upstairs. When you're paying over $2k, I would have wanted something better. But when the prices comes down to $1500, for me, that's enough of a sacrifice as the value is a lot better.

Ultimately I love the Deebot X8. So not regretting the choice at all.

            • @Cyphar: This is for my I laws they actually have minimal carpet in the house now just granite and timber, sounding like this might make more sense but the deebot just seems like it might be better al round in case circumstances change

              • +1

@WhatsThisThenSlaat: Yeah honestly the Eufy would be better suited for your in-laws. Eufy also have a return policy so if you don't like it, you can return it within 30 no questions asked, so if it turns out that's not the case, at least you won't have an issue with swapping it over.

                • @Cyphar: Ok I’m sold, it’s still 1800 but if only someone had a perks code for me 😅

  • Notice most stores in Sydney metro have only 1 unit in stock, not sure if box has been opened.

Does delivery come from warehouse direct? Shipping is $10.

  • +1

    Just bought one thanks

    • +2

      Only one?

      • +1

        Why would I need more?

        • +4

one per floor for your multilevel westfield scale mansion I suppose

        • Might have 2 cats? Joust anyone??

  • +2

    This or the qrevo edge?

  • Can anyone recommend something as good as the vacuuming feature in the eufy s1 without the mopping? Just moved into a fully carpeted house and can’t keep on top of the constant dust!

    • +2

The Eufy S1 vacuuming is not rated as best-in-class.

If you just need vacuuming there are many better options out there that are more affordable. Even a Roomba will do fine.

      • Thank you, I have no idea where to even start with the robot vacs so I’ll look into the roomba’s!

    • Dust from carpet?

      • Dirt, dust, I have a Dyson V12 and its not pulling it all up every time and I go over it repeatedly.

        • +1

To be honest, Dysons are not that good for carpet.

Suggest something like the Miele C3 Cat and Dog, using the turbo brush.

          • @Caring: It was great in my previous tiled/hybrid house (no carpet) but not working for us here. I have a dust allergy and I’m stay at home so I’m going mad sneezing constantly 😂 I’ll look into the Miele, I appreciate your advice!

            • @EBug: Same here - major dust allergy.

Difference is night and day. The suction on the Miele is immense. Need to twist open the air intake on the turbo brush otherwise the suction is so strong we cannot move it! HEPA filter stops tiny allergens being recirculated. I hate to say it but bags are better for us allergy sufferers - it is fully sealed and the dust doesn't come back out (especially when emptying).

              • @Caring: I was considering the Miele as a deep cleaner but came across Sebo. Do you know if the price difference is worth it?

                • +1

@Broomstick: Miele C5 is definitely worth it for allergy sufferers.

  • +5

It seems people in this thread have previously negotiated to get it for $1423 from TGG: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/886378

    • +1

For those worried about tampered cards or want to get an exact amount for this

    • Don’t these need to spent in a single amount? Or are you saying in store usage?

  • +1

can't get it delivered, and click and collect is 50km away

    • same here, wtf? has it sold out ??

      • Seems like it is.

        • +1

I was able to order one

    • Can order one this morning now, with $10 delivery. Seems to be a glitch in their system when trying order around midnight.

      • +1

Indeed, ordering seems fine again this morning.

      • +1

yeah thanks for the heads up!

got one with the $10 delivery.

seems like no stock around SA for click and collect as well

  • Does it handle long hair well?

  • wondering how much better the mopping would be compared to dreame l20 ultra.
The dream has extending arms which is nice for edges - but the constant cleaning of the mop pad of Eufy sounds really good!

    • +1

Eufy is best in class. Constant cleaning of roller brush.

All other robotic models will rudimentarily push a pad/roller along the floor, accumulating dirt until it returns to dock.

      • +1

keen to give the dreame to mom and grab this for ours. (all hardwood). Now I just need a perk coupon :/

  • What do you guys recommend is best Robovac
    for carpets ?

    • +1

This is very subjective. Depends on what your priorities are.

Do you want the latest and greatest technology?

Or do you want a workhorse that is durable, easy to maintain and repair (ie. lifespan 10 years+)?

      • What’s the answer to both?

  • Anyone have experience on how well it fares with dog fur on tiles?
