WinX DVD Ripper Platinum 7.0.0 Free (Again) - Today Only

180
AA-FYCLLVW-2LL8TEX

Edit: Deal is now marked as expired on the WinXDVD website, but it may still work because of the time difference. If I remember correctly, the license code is tied to your PC date.

For anyone that missed this freebie last time (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/84956), WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is available for free again. Says it must be downloaded and registered before the 7th (tomorrow).

It's version 7.0.0 as per last time, but it no longer says it's a beta, so I assume it a new(ish) release. It's dated 28 December 2012.

Download directly from here: http://www.winxdvd.com/download/gotd/dvd-ripper-pt-7.exe

Then enter the license code above. Tested and working for me.

Here's the original offer for anyone that's interested:

I am pretty sure the site asks that the code not be published directly.

    • worked for me haha

    • In other words they want people going to their site.

Indeed it does. However, last time I didn't publish the code and a mod (power user) came in and edited my post regardless of me mentioning that fact: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/81355

      Can't win eh?

Put in code….dont' work incorrect code?
    WTF?

    • Works for me.

The only thing I can suggest is to make sure the date is set correctly on your PC.

Are people still ripping DVD's? With external storage devices becoming so cheap I would have thought that DVD's were a thing of the past.

    • +4

How do you expect to get the media from the DVD disc's to the external storage device?

    • @flybuy Its a DVD ripping software to compress DVD movies. It is not used to store data or rip DVD data discs.

      • Actually, DVD ripping software is used to rip DVD data discs, thats the whole point of DVD ripping software.

  • Yep even their site says 1hr to go.Copy paste and typing in did not work. Wifi connection.

    • What do you mean copy paste typing didn't work?

  • Just downloaded, installed and activated. Didn't even need to provide an email address. Tried it with Crocodile Dundee, seems to be working. So far the only problem I've noticed is that when adding external subtitles the list of languages is very limited, eg. if I add Finnish subtitles I have to label it as being French. Its also rather slow (estimating ~1.5hrs for one DVD). Preview also doesn't show subtitles, or deinterlacing. Haven't completed a rip yet, so not sure how good the quality is, or how the subtitles are added (looks like it might be burned in, since there doesn't seem to be a way to have more than one language).

  • Well I tried ripping the movie "BIG" as a test, it took just 12 mins using a 3770k CPU and right when it hit 100% it crashed out no error message. I went to the location where the rip should be and the folder is empty. Upon restarting the app it said " the application closed incorrectly last time send us the log file". I know this is free but come on can't even rip an old DVD like "BIG", I did choose high quality as well. I will try it again but from the sounds of it this explains why it is free.

Worked ok second time. I will try a better quality dvd next at highest quality and let you know.

      and………

Saving Private Ryan worked just fine, less than 20 mins to rip a long movie well over 2hrs, not bad afterall.

  • Still working, I didn't look like it activated online, entered the code and successful immediately.

  • Yep, still working. Thanks OP

  • Still works.. thanks

  • Still works thanks!

  • Still works as of 9am (AEDST), 7/1, just download directly using the link above and paste the code in after installation.

  • Code is no longer accepted. It's all over ladies and gents.
