  • My order was placed on 24/04 after cancelling to reorder, and the new shipping date is 13/05

    • I ordered on the 10th and got an email:

Joseph here from the LG.com Customer Service team, we hope this finds you well.

We wanted to let you know that your order, 416000002xxx has had an unexpected shipping delay, with an expected dispatch date of 13/05/2025.

https://www.youtube.com/@optimumtech got his, so we know they are in the country.

      • Even on the 10th, and it's out of stock? Yikes. I wonder if they even had many units to begin with. Its a 3 week delay too which sucks.

        • I ordered early

Seems a shipment must have been delayed

      • Bro, he got a review sample and probably a month or 2 ago lol..thats like the worst logic

        • -1

          No he didn't.

          • @raybies: Yes lol, his unit was sent by LG for review. He has 1.3m subs and does monitor reviews..My mind blows that you cant understand the fact that he did not buy it and it was sent by LG for review.

            • -4

@Ryxxi: I know who he is, however, I’m not sure if you’re deliberately missing the point or your mind literally blew, but let’s try this again—slowly, for your benefit. Marketing, retail, distribution and other departments ordered units through a single pipeline, all landing in the regional warehouse simultaneously. Ali didn’t get his monitor air-dropped from Seoul by some global LG PR fairy. It almost certainly came from LG Australia’s local stock, same as the retail units.

To simplify my logic for you; Lets say LG Australia hypothetically ordered 5k units in total, and 1k arrived. They then got divided up between all the departments that ordered.

I said optimum "got his, so we know they are in the country." I never said he ordered his with an education discount on the LG retail store like us. I never said enough units to satisfy the retail shop orders are in the country. For clarity I meant "we know there are units in Australia" so even if it was just the 2, my comment is accurate.

              • @raybies: Yeah, very accurate. A singular review sample is in the country.

              • @raybies: Brother No. The samples gets sent to reviewers directly from LG AU HQ (where Local marketing guy works and organizes PR stuff with people in that country) or sometimes the LG HQ from the specific country organizes shipping to the specific content creator from the factory.

I have dealt with marketing divisions of some companies, also have knowledge of this from when I used to have connections with content creators. This is how review samples work, that is how they operate. For, example how would hardware unboxed get Founders edition cards when they aren't even sold in Australia ?

Optimum got a review sample sent from LG marketing, this is a different channel from retail, period. Your comment is not accurate in saying that Optimum got his like a regular consumer. Pls stop spreading misinformation that the monitors are here or something like that. May be they are and could be held up at customs, but they definitely aren't at LG shipping warehouse. They are probably on their way. Buy LG misled customers by saying they would ship from 25th april.

                • -1

@Ryxxi: Precisely. It's the same as a singular RHD Corvette coming into the country, it's completely irrelevant to buyers and pointless even mentioning. Same thing with 5090's that "came into the country" to many countries, but barely anyone got them on release.

"They are probably on their way. But LG misled customers by saying they would ship from 25th april."
This, is pretty bad deceptive marketing. Good thing I took screenshots of 2 livechat sales reps assuring me they will ship on the 25th before I placed my order. I specifically asked "Are you certain that my order will ship out if I buy today", and was assured.

                  • @Kentrolla: Typical of Live chat lol, but good for evidence if you need it.

                • -6

@Ryxxi: I'm assuming you're not an AI agent stuck in a loop.
Once again, the only way your claim that my comment is BS would be valid is if only a single unit was shipped to Australia, an extremely unlikely scenario.
If you look at the current reviews, all reviewers got their units either retail or simultaneously with retail availability (even LG-sponsored ones, such as TFTCentral).
If the units weren't already in the country and instead are arriving by container shipment, it would be highly improbable for them to start shipping by the 13th.

I never stated that he obtained it like a regular customer; I have no knowledge of how he received it or what his agreement is.
Anecdotal story; 13 years ago at Canon, no one received special pre-release units. We ordered directly from Canon Japan; when the shipment arrived, the warehouse (then located in Ryde before moving west) would notify us.
I would rush down, and for a certain new camera, a PR person said, "This one's going to X" — I don't recall his name, but he was a well-known Kiwi reviewer, influencer, and photography instructor at the time.
~10 days later, a review appeared, and units would began gradually reaching retail outlets.

Again, the only scenario where my comment could be labeled misinformation is if only one unit was sent to Australia, I hope you can understand this.

    • Oh, nice. What was your order date ? Looks like they have small stock. So they did a paper launch or werent expecting as many orders. Damm People who did not get a delay email are prolly waiting till June. I havent received one yet because I ordered so late.

      • Have you not gotten any updates at all?
If so, I'm in the same boat. I contacted support and they told me my name was not on the list that was delayed but that also makes no sense as I reordered at like 11.46pm LOL.

      • +1

He ordered on the last day like I did. I remember because it was 39 orders before me. He received an email saying 13/5 but it seems it got dispatched earlier.

        • Oh. I got no emails since the order confirmation. What does your order status show up as in LG account ?

    • So you got the delay email but it ended up shipping earlier??

  • Has anyone not gotten any updates other than the original order confirmation email?

I reordered on the last day after the price drop.

Spoke to customer service and was told I'm not on the list of delayed orders but that means nothing without a date at this stage especially considering some have had theirs dispatched.

    • I cancelled and reordered at 7 pm on the final day, but received a delayed email. The whole thing is a mess. If you return to the site, it still says 'pre-order' period. This time its just for June 3 shipment

      • Someone from reddit 10 hours ago shared: "

I'm in Australia, only pre ordered on the 20th. Just been told by LG over the phone that if you didn't receive an email stating the delivery date change to may 13th, you don't have an ETA. Legit could not tell me at all when my monitor would be shipped.

He said they have "a list of names for the 13th of may" and I wasn't on it..

        What a shitshow
        "

        • They're telling different people different things. Orders are clearly not being sent based on a first come first served basis.

I ordered on the 23rd, and was told by their PH staff on the phone that my order will be sent out by the 13th for sure.

There's no mention of a "list of names". This tells me they're actively just making shit up on the fly.

      • Yeah I think, its for the next batch. But LG should be using "Backorder" and Not preorder… Because they already did preorders and the Monitor is officially out.

  • Got mine just today afternoon around 4pm (sydney) . I ordered on 25/04/2025 when the price is dropped (paid $2007), recieved the email on 28/04/2025 said my order has been shipped. May be they have a little stock in Sydney that just for Sydney Metro area.

    • Cheers. Bit surprised by that still. I'm in Newcastle and ordered early. Everything's been paid for, so it's not like there's any benefit to delivering closest units first

I'm fine with waiting though. Hope you're loving yours

  • From what I can gather on Reddit is a handful of people in Sydney received their units disregarding any date of purchase.

One guy pre ordered 2 hours before it ended and received his the next day.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/1kbxpa…

Ive emailed multiple times and rang the call centre three times.

    • No replies to any emails

    • first phone call I got told that there's a list for the 13th of May and I'm not on it and I have no ETA

    • second phone call I got told there's no list with no ETA

    • Third phone call I got told I'm on the list because they saw my email complaints for the 13th of May. They also have no direct line to LG Sydney for any answers

    • Its probably the same 2 People from OZB, There are no photos of these monitors. Only claims that they got theirs. That Boxx could be from any one of the 100's of photos that were posted online.

  • … So much doubt, but they are some that have been sent out - mine in QLD.

    https://i.postimg.cc/cLmB0vSK/Image-1.png

    • are you the one posted on reddit as well ? floor looks similar, reddit guy said he is from syd.

      • I am in Queensland and I left part of the sticker showing that this box was shipped to Queensland.

        I don’t use Reddit.

DHL just were dragging their feet. That’s why it didn’t arrive for a couple of days.

        • Thanks, its crazy that they sent out orders, not in date of order lol.

        • Have you got the monitor yet?

      • -4

He's a utube influencer who got a special review sample shipped to him directly from LG HQ.

  • looks like stock finally landed. lots of people reporting as shipped now

    • Yep, got the email, and ETA is tomorrow! So excited

      • Nice. If I get before weekend, I'll be stoked

      • No delivery email here, Did get a late email about the 13th may delay though. But its only 1 week and i hope they have enough Stock.

    • Anyone in Victoria? Ordered mine as soon as the +5% went live but still no delivery email for me.

      • I’m in VIC and I got an email saying it’ll be shipped on the 13th

        • Still nothing…. didn't even get any emails that 13th is no longer a date they aimed for. Rang up and they say it'll be 20th now

  • Still no shipping notification. Their pre-order is a farce.

    • Yes. I got mine on the 9th. Had ordered on the second day of preorder.

Read the other people that ordered on the last day got theirs even earlier.

I'm kind of dirty cash rewards isn't honouring their 8.5% cashback
Then it would have been worth me going through effort of finding an EDU account

FWIW, for games/media consumption, 45" with the curve is fantastic

For productivity, 38-40" would be the sweet spot. Vertical height is too much as it is.

      • FWIW, for games/media consumption, 45" with the curve is fantastic

This is going to be 90% gaming and 10% productivity. Will wait and see how it works out. 5090 was shipped today so really, really wanting this now.

  • +1

I called customer support today and they said that while stock is due to arrive today for those waiting for pre-orders, it could take another 7 days to be dispatched due to quality control.

    • +1

Damn. I knew it wouldnt get shipped today.

    • +1

They also said we'd receive a text message from DHL when they were dispatched

      • +1

Yeah, I got message from DHL saying it had shipped, then delivered afternoon next day (Newcastle)

    • What do they QA on the boxes? Won't they QA before things are boxed? This is an interesting process

      • It may just be another creative story they've come up with.

Looking at the photo I posted earlier, there were no signs of opening and resealing of the boxes - so I doesn't look like anyone inspected anything.

        • They arent in the warehouse until the 20th its not QA

          • @PcGamerJames: Brand Support ([email protected]) say they will try and ship preorders by 2nd June.
            Just check https://www.lg.com/au/monitors/ultragear-gaming/45gx950a-b-a…

            Edit…

            🔗 Just checked Pre-Order Link:

            https://www.lg.com/au/monitors/ultragear-gaming/45gx950a-b-aau/buy/

            📅 Pre-Order Period:
            • Start: 28 April 2025
            • End: 2 June 2025, 23:59
            🚚 Estimated Delivery:
            • Start of Shipment: From 3 June 2025, in order of pre-order queue
            • Delivery Timeframe: Within 19 business days
              > This product is provided to customers at competitive prices by securing stock through pre-order for a limited time.

            🛑 Reality Check:

"I think this is as official as it gets… don't expect delivery before 22 June 2025."

            • @raybies: So if i ordered 14th of april i wont get until june 22?

              • @PcGamerJames: There's no discernable pattern to their shipping.

What we do know for sure:
My order had "unexpected shipping delay, with an expected dispatch date of 13/05/2025" no further update.
Start of Shipment: From 3 June 2025, in order of pre-order queue
Delivery Timeframe: Within 19 business days

Calling and emailing them gives contradictory information, kind of like they're just closing tickets with a reassuring message.

I ordered on the 10th of April.

My guess is that we should get a dispatch notification between now and 3rd June, but they'll probably just BS you about your order status until the 22nd of June.

                • @raybies: I reported them to ACCC for fraud lol

                  • @PcGamerJames: That's not going to go anywhere.

At most they're guilty of Misleading or deceptive conduct (A business must not mislead or deceive or make false or misleading representations about products or delivery times).

They give you the option of cancelling your order, so no fraud.

                    Our options are:
                    1. Wait
                    2. Complain, ask for compensation due to loss in productivity… but they'll say: rack off, this is a gaming monitor.
                    3. Cancel

                    Good thing I didn't unload my 49" 31:9.

                    • @raybies: Im going to go with the complain path because they gave me written confirmation about the 13th when i enquired if it was actually a set in stone date.

                      • +2

@PcGamerJames: The most effective course of action is to escalate the issue publicly, after allowing the company adequate time to address your concerns.

Platforms to review and assess company responsiveness include:
                        https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/lg-australia
                        https://au.trustpilot.com/review/lg.com.au
                        https://www.complaintsboard.com/lg-electronics-b119890

As evidenced by existing reviews, their responsiveness and commitment to customer satisfaction appear notably absent (they don't give a **** what you think or how you feel, and everything they tell you is a lie https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/5edcfe57-07b5-5a87-…).

                        =========================================================

Anecdotal story; Following an extended and fruitless nine-month battle with BMW, during which I launched dedicated websites and filed complaints through every conceivable channel, I found the most effective strategy was to list the vehicle on eBay with a starting bid of $1.
Within just four days, as the auction climbed to $23,000, a representative from BMW contacted me directly on my mobile and offered to purchase the vehicle if I removed the post, unequivocally demonstrating that they were aware of my identity and the issue.

      • They just make up stuff because LG doesnt give out info to customer services. Most companies do this. Its just bureaucracy to slow down the customer.

  • +1

To everyone as gullible as me:

I emailed them twice and received written confirmation the monitors would arrive in warehouses today and be shipped out.

I had to call and speak to a manager today to find out they wont be getting the stock until the 20th of May.

Looks like we won't get the monitors until June.

    • +1

Are you for real? So are they confirmed shipping 20th or did it sound like another of many to come delays?

      • Yeah i had to make them email the warehouse to get the eta of the 20th. Then i called them frauds for lying to me.

        • +1

Gentlemen, 20th is here. I smell another BS coming.

  • +2

I called them and got a bunch of nonsense as usual. The guy was trying to convince me that 13th Dispatch date is when LG is expecting the stock to their warehouse and not Dispatch to me/customers lol. He was saying that I should wait for a new email for a date that will have "shipping date" and not dispatch.

These guys just work to make stuff up now…

    • Its not even at their warehouse yet. I called them out for giving me a different answer each time and said id report them for fraud.

  • They replied to my ETA request with another BS smelling email lol. "We are currently experiencing an overwhelming demand for this product which is the World's first 5K2K OLED Gaming Monitor, in Australia and around the world. Due to the high demand, we are temporarily out of stock and shipping of your order will take place during week commencing 19 May 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding."

    • Thats better than 22nd june

  • Got an email last night saying my order will be dispatched tomorrow (19/05). Placed 23/04.

If it's not sent tomorrow, I'm definitely cancelling this.

    • Understandable. If it matters, i'd have preferred the 39" for work more. 45" perfect for gaming though.

      • Already have a 3860x1600 AW3821DW (38" UW), so I needed something bigger. 1 inch wouldn't have made a difference to me, as screen space is key (having multiple windows open on a 45 with higher resolution was the solution, if LG weren't so incredibly disorganized and deceptive with delivery dates).

        • Yeah fair enough. After having mine for few weeks now, I'm thinking 3860x1600 would suit my 75% work, 25% gaming situation better. Would have gotten one a bit back if they weren't stupidly priced for so long.

Like you see what Samsung offers regarding spec on 49"/57" models, yet somehow these 38" ones cost more even though they're "worse". Couldn't even see LG selling 38" ones on their site, which is a real disappointment

    • did it say on 19/5 or did it say from 19/5 ?

      • From 19/5 which basically means june

    • Which state are you from?

      • NSW. Sydney metro. It doesn't matter when you ordered or where you are. There are people in QLD that ordered a day before the deal was over and got it.

        • Any updates?

        • I have not seen/read anyone from Victoria get theirs. We’re all jealous down here.

          • @patc: I’m in vic, also no updates :(

    • Did you get a dispatched notice or tracking?

      • Not yet

      • Nope. Cancelled my order today.

        • Lol apparently they arrived at the warehouse today and will come later this week or early next week.

          • @PcGamerJames: Telling you just enough just to get you off their back. Actions speak louder than words.

            • +1

@Bruceflix: But manager knows im gonna be checking in daily for proof 🤣

              • @PcGamerJames: I'd want a selfie with the boxes with your username written on one.

                • +1

@Bruceflix: Let's just all send selfies to LG. The more disgruntled we look, the better.

                  • @mthucs: Lets send not just selfies

                    • @PcGamerJames: We might get in trouble for down below selfies.

I don't know why my mind went there.

                      • @mthucs: I always thought LG meant Length and Girth

                        • @Bruceflix: Lucky Goldstar mate. I was surprised when I first found out. Lol

                          • @mthucs: Sadly I'm old enough to remember when they rebranded from Goldstar to LG

                          • @mthucs: I'll tell you what. After listening to 2 hours of hold music id think it meant life's good.

                          • @mthucs: TIL, I thought it was “Life’s Good”, don’t know why I thought that was the case.

                            • +1

@xslasherzz: Back in the 90s when they rebranded that's what they said LG stood for in the ads that ran at the time.

                              • +1

                                @Bruceflix: Thanks!!

Life could have been better if they have shipped the monitor already!! Haha

The delay and how they handled it are pathetic.

  • I oredered mine on the 20th of April, I still don't have a dispatch date. I also had no idea my wife had a .edu.au email address until yesterday :| could have saved myself $500.
