Also the frame at the front, that houses the panel is aluminium. Most monitors are just plastic..

    • I just got mine today and I'm finding the text clarity lower than the C4 42 inch TV that I am migrating from, even though the C4 has a lower PPI. This is using the default 125% text scaling in Windows; I've had to bump it up to 150 to make it look acceptable.

Try this , I am using gamer mode but shapness is set to 60 https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/1jugng…

        • Thanks that definitely helped with overall clarity and brightness. I still have to run at 150% scaling in Windows which I'm ok with

          • @tjhogwash: Would you suggest getting this monitor or the c4 ?

            • @PcGamerJames: Still undecided between the GX9 and C4 - depends on your priorities. I do think the GX9 is a better overall piece of hardware, but picture quality is no better IMO:

              C4:
              - Great value for a big OLED monitor
              - Local dimming can be distracting
              - It's a smart TV so it might offer you more features
              - HDMI only and no USB

              GX9:
              - Matte finish is a big plus when you have lots of natural light in your space
              - Ultrawide format is ideal for my workflow
              - OLED all the way

If you don’t care about ultrawide, C4 is solid. I still love my Alienware 38" IPS for its format, matte screen, and size too

If anyone has access to 3d printer, I made a bracket/s to mount the massive power brick under the Desk, Can be mounted anywhere really.

I want to refuse delivery, if they ever manage to figure out how to actually deliver it.

        • Finally arrived today.
F me that curve is going to take some getting used to, and that's coming from a curved monitor.

  • Received a faulty unit that has these weird diagonal smears when you shine a bright light onto it.
Tried to request a replacement on warranty.
Was advised due to this being pre-order, they don't have stock to re-allocate and offered me a refund.
    What the actual heck.

You can't see it if the screen is off/showing something.
However, if you shine a torch on it while it is off, the line was very obvious for me.

    • So wait until they have stock then ask for a replacement.

      • They do have stock.
It's even on their site as in stock in my postcode.
Their wording was more "since yours was a pre order, we have no more of those to allocate".

        • Mention ACL to them. Major failure it is your choice on refund, repair, or replacement.

  • To celebrate the arrival of the monitor after waiting 52 days I designed a bracket to mount the PSU under desk: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1482152-lg-45gx950a-psu-bra…
