    yawn

  • Wow people still sell cars on Ebay??

  • Bad offer, but change the category on any item youre selling, to one of these discounted categories, and you're good to go

Issue is that your listing visibility completely falls off.
By default, eBay will filter a search into a likely category. For example, someone looking up “iPad” will automatically be searching under electronics.
A buyer will need to unfilter into all categories to even have a chance of seeing your listing. And even then it will buried among lots of unrelated items from all categories.

      • This is something that has always seemed weird - when I'm buying something on eBay, I always set the filter to worldwide, minimum price to something like $50 to get rid of all the mega cheap accessories, etc etc - you need to make your search as wide as you possibly can, to find the cheapest version of the thing you want.

Who are these weirdos who are just accepting the eBay default search, and missing out the cheapest price 😂😂

Works perfectly if you list in one of the toys categories, and then revise and add your additional category for the item you're selling (costs $1 extra) ;)

Have sold 5 items, all charged with 75% fee discount this way.

That’s a clever workaround. Might give that a go next time

        • @doweyy hi do you think the trick works on the opposite, ie list as the correct categories and then revise and add toy category? that way the item description will be correct

  • Anyone know the relist from last month promo has incurred fees?

    • +3

'Re-list' won't work, you'll be charged the full fee.

You need to end that listing, then use 'Sell similar' in order to create a new listing within the promotional window.

      • I understand that part, trying to see the relisting from 0% promo last month still works or not hhh

        • +3

Ah, ok. That's a negative. Pretty sure the terms of the FVF free offers say no re-listing.

    • +3

Never relist any item for eBay FVF promos, you will get charged full fees. Always create a new listing using sell similar, so long as the item is listed within the promo period and sold within 30 days it won't incur fees even if it sells after the promo has ended, i.e. list at the start of promo if it doesn't sell list again on the last day to get another 30 days selling time.

      • Thank you!

      • Came here to ask this exact question as I listed a whole bunch of LEGO just a day before seeing and activating this offer. So my offer begins 6 May 2025, and all my listings are dated 5 May 2025. So I'll do a Sell Similar and hopefully save a bit if they do sell before July. Thanks.

Got charged full fees for the items listed after the promo start date, and auto renewed after 30 days, asked eBay support why is that as it's still within the promo period until the end of next month, or should I end all listings and list as new items again, but they don't know …

    • per the terms

This Promotion does not apply to:
      listings that are relisted during the Promotion Period, either manually, through the automatic relist function, or the Good ‘Til Cancelled function;

so have to sell similar every 30days.
