          @cnitsuj: You are right. The $100 credit happens after 6 months so its not worth it. Cant edit my first comment, so i'll just fix it here :

          The best way to make use of this offer is to sign up for Electricity via a referral link (best to PM a member directly and check if they still have an active account as some of the referral links seem to have expired accounts) which nets you $50 into your Energy Local account as soon as its created and then pay $40 using the Amex offer. Churn away after a month if you only want to stay as long as you are not paying anything

              @jes: Yes, I made a payment without a bill. If you have a smart meter, you'll get monthly billing.
