NetGear D6300 Wi-Fi Modem Router $249

31

Was looking for a modem router this morning and saw wireless1 selling the D6300 at $249, so price matched it at officework.

    • Meaning what? He posted the price as per the deal on wireless1 and then stated he was able to pricematch at OW…

His original price in the title was $236 or thereabouts, whatever he got it for from OW. Has since edited it once he read the rules.

        • Interesting that it doesn't show it in the revisions page, which I did check first, but I'll take your word for it.

IIRC it doesn't show separate revisions if the changes were made soon after posting (5 minutes or so). It did originally show the OW price.

        • +3

If it's edited within 10 mins it doesn't get a revision. Applies to all revisions including the original post.

        • Ah yes that was when revisions I hadn't made were being attributed to me, thought I was seeing things or having memory lapses.

I didn't think it right to do so but oddly it didn't seem to bother anyone else. Shrug.

Gotta love the sheeple +'ing this comment before understanding what actually happened :)

Lol, seems I hit a nerve. Clueless bleating sheeple hehe.

All types of people surf this site… Including those with an IQ under 30.

        • … and they seem quite happy to prove it while remaining completely mute. Perhaps all they're capable of doing is clicking - and nothing more?

There must be something in the municipal water supply, nothing else could cause such a widespread outbreak of stupid.

This seems to be the normal price, staticice lists 2 other shops selling it for 249, MSY has it for $250. IMO not a deal.

    • +1

Well technically they are the equal cheapest so it's … meh … somewhat of a deal kinda sorta. Seen far FAR worse deals than this!

      • +2

I guess… but as ozdesi has already pointed out, one of those links (from computeralliance)has a bonus Netgear A6200 wireless adapter bundled free. Making that a better deal than OP.

        • It's good for BNE folk, maybe not so good for others as CA shipping can be a bit high but perhaps still worthwhile in this instance due to the added freebie.

Thanks guys. I didn't realize other stores were selling at $249 too. Well, lesson learned after losing my OzBargain virginity! Will do better next time!

    • +1 for 1st timer not asking to go easy AND taking the criticism

  • why spend this much on a wireless modem router ?

    • It's 802.11ac compatible, which is still relatively new and expensive. It is faster than 802.11n, though.

  • The after sales support is not good, especially RMA. Stay away if I were you.
