Just checked their rate, my bill with them will be 28.6% higher than my current energy provider, Powershop.

    • So $1000 over 6 months is $300 at 30% and you’d get the $150 monitoring stuff as a bonus. If you spend less than $1000 over 6 months you’d be in front.

      • the $150 monitoring stuff as a bonus

probably cost less than $10 on ebay or in Kmart. lol

    • Powershop rates are pretty good. I've been looking into solar and electrification and all the quoted "savings" from installers are way off base.

      The perils of cheap electricity!

If you want to get super nerdy, set up a Pylon account and bring in your own power usage data. Pylon is the back end software a lot of installers use to create the PDF quotes. By making your own system with your data, it will show you a more accurate payoff and "savings" data based on your actual usage. Came up with approx 4 years payback period for me (on track for that so far), compared to 18 months from the installer.

        • Thanks for the tip!

I'm a month or so away from a full year of usage data through Powershop, so I'll plug it in and see what I get :)

  • Currently, pricing isn’t available for a “solar only” option
