    • Any idea how this one compares to the tineco steam s5 (corded)?

      • Or the hoover ONEPWR at bunnings?

  • Got one. Not too bad. Don't use it often enough. Doing an OK job. Can see the difference. Only downfall is you cannot put mixture in it. Only water. And also getting cord stuck.

Budget surficant based floor cleaner in a spray bottle is my solution.
Basically spray yourself into a corner, where your 'mop' is, then go back over it.

  • This or WD210.
    Thanks

Anyone have any experience using a steam mop on Hybrid floorings? Seems like the internet is pretty divided on this. I just got hybrid flooring - use the old spray and scrub method but having pets plus a housemate now added to the house I would like an easier solution.

    • It is important to note, not to clean hybrid planks or a hybrid floor with a steam mop, instead, you should opt for the dry/damp mop method. This is a method by which the mop used is damp, rather than wet, and your floors dry within 15 seconds of mopping the area with a long lasting comfort underfoot.

If you prefer a steam mop on hybrid flooring, here are a few things you need to keep in mind. First, make sure your steam mop has adjustable settings so that you can lower the temperature of the steam. Second, don’t allow the steam mop to sit in one spot for too long as this could damage the flooring. And finally, be sure to dry the area after you’ve finished mopping as dampness can damage the floor over time.

^— this was posted on a carpet and floor seller's website.

      so use with caution!

    • I have this exact model and i use it on my hybrid flooring. I use it on the light setting only, and I keep it moving. It barely leaves any moisture on the floor, the floor is dry 5 mins after using it. I can see absolutely no possibility of it doing any damage when using it like that.

    • I'd avoid steam on hybrid floors, it's way too harsh and can cause the top layer to delaminate. You want to mop using as little water as possible

Shark is the same company as Ninja and given the recent fiasco with the blenders, ozbargainers should be aware in case they want to continue their boycott.

    • +3

      What fiasco? Are they Israeli?

      • -2

lol no. There was a discount code that went around that wasn’t designed to - led to getting ozbargained with people essentially trying get free accessories. Unsurprisingly like has happened dozens of times before with other deals they worked it out and cancelled orders and people got their panties in a bunch.

OK, so they haven't killed 15 thousand children then? Something to think about I guess. Happy to boycott plenty of things but a bad code might not make the cut. Strangely half the people on here can't work out why you would want to boycott Israeli goods, says a lot about peoples ability to comprehend things

          • -4

@Jackson: Because half the people have taken the time to educate themselves and are not buying the hate / antisemitism the other half are perpetuating.

@newjackswing: It's not anti semitism to disagree with and boycott products from a country who's government are conducting a genocide. Significant numbers of Jewish people are against this and they aren't "antisemetic". It's also not really "half the people", 99% of the world can see exactly what's going on, it's the governments of a few western countries who are turning a blind eye

Damn I didn’t realise that. I bought one of the S8201 a few hours ago

  • Can get it cheaper through mydeal $184 after $15 discount or big w (extra 10% plus gift cards or whatever shopback has going). Looks the same S7001 unless there is some difference
