      Who resells tv's?

    • +2

On the contrary, you won't lose much. Even if you resell it for $100, you've only lost $50. Try to resell a $4K TV after 3 years? Maybe $800? ROI is more with this.

Show me where I can get a $4k TV for $800?

        • +1

Look around? Check LG OLED C7 65 inch. Check the prices. They were $4K at launch. I recently purchased an LG OLED 48 C2 for $700. My statement may not be 100% accurate however read in between the lines and understand my rationale. YMMV

          • -1

@vinni9284: I'm pretty sure the LG C7 is from 2017, which is 8 years ago, not 3 years as you were claiming. You're not going to sell a 8 year old JVL TV for $100 lol.

            • @MrZ: OK then. Regardless, even after 8 years, I'm sure it'll be worth $50. Lost $100. Let's talk about the ROI in comparison to an expensive TV.

          • @vinni9284: I look for C2s sometimes and they seem to advertise them the same price as a new C4 lol

            • @bleeder: Yeah. I got mine a year ago. For some reason people are put off buying second hand stuff. You have to know what to look for. I love mine and for the price i paid, it's a bargain

              • @vinni9284: I've seen a decent priced C4 but second hand does scare me, what if there's some defect I don't notice when I look at it…

                • @bleeder: Make sure that the seller has the receipt of purchase to ensure warranty. Inspect the TV in person thoroughly. That's what i did. The seller was very genuine and complied to all my requests. If they don't, then walk away.

          • +1

            @vinni9284: That’s a great purchase. C2 are excellent

        • He will show after 3 years…

Who buy an unknown brand $149 TV with the intention to resell?

      • +3

TV as new, very little use. Does not turn on, sold as is.

        • +1

Unused sitting collecting dust, have not tested, requires power cable. Sold as is.

    • Nobody wants small 2nd hand TVs

I am going to cancel my Netflix and Prime subscription as I am getting plenty of free entertainment in this forum

Jokes aside, purchase the cheapest reliable TV with reasonable quality. For an example the TCL 75” on which was around ATL ~ $800 is best value for money as even Soniq 75” smart tv might cost ~ $400 to ~$500

    • Do you buy everything with intention to resell?

      • Yes, I always resell when I no longer need/want something. Why wouldn't you? Do you keep everything you buy forever?

        • no i throw away and buy stuff i need to use

          • @sunnyc: Ok, so you throw away your car when you don't want it anymore? lol

            • @MrZ: Yes. For scrap. Don’t act smug. Do you resell used tyres? Same deal

  • Interesting these all went up as I asked if there were any more sales going up with the website issues and got told no as the website can't handle it.

    • they did comment they upgraded their server infra supposedly

Does this have a built in Chromecast?

  • Forget your cheap flood of Tarif impacted EV's. It looks like TV's are first in line. Much easier with universal power supplies.

  • Thanks, got one, my spare chromecast would suit perfectly for it

  • How do you choose to pick up from Qld warehouse ? They always tell me to pick up from Vic warehouse otherwise delivery

Change state to QLD then refresh the page. Location showed up as Crestmead for me.

Q: Can I pick up my purchase?
A: Pick-up is available in Melbourne only. The pick-up location is 1-11 Remington Dr, Dandenong South VIC 3175

    No NSW pick up then?

  • Also would like to know how to select an interstate warehouse (SA)

    • Click Gilman, SA warehouse

  • Maybe I need to hand in my OzBargain membership for being sceptical, but this whole series of very low prices offers from the Soniq clearance warehouse(s) looks strange to me.

    I'm not suggesting its dishonest.

But the prices are too low. A business only needs to set its prices for anything low enough that the product sells. There's no point in setting it any lower. Low enough that its crashes your web site and that gives your customers a poor initial impression. The whole point of running a business is to maximise revenue, not minimise it.

And the timing is strange. Why do it over an Easter extra long weekend when your staff should be having a couple of days off, not having to be paid penalty rates.

I just can't help wondering if tomorrow or the day after there'll be some announcement that explains their rush to sell everything as fast as possible, and it won't be good news for the people who've bought something from them.

That said, the prices are so good I'd be in it if I could.

(Incidentally, has anyone else noticed that the image is for the 43" TV is the same one used for the 55" TV.)

    • +3

They've emptied their warehouse of obsolete stock before China's factories dump several container ships worth in a few months. All over a single weekend and without giving a middleman a 50% share. Looks like maximising profit to me.

I believe ADVANCED ELECTRONIC RESOURCES PTY LTD is 'JVL', they are under external administration, so obvioulsy clearing out all stock. Seems by using Soniq's distribution. I don't think anything wrong with it other than once all the TV's are sold there will be no more of these etc

Name: ADVANCED ELECTRONIC RESOURCES PTY LTD
      ACN: 144 974 121
      ABN: 37 144 974 121(External Link)
      Registration date: 1/07/2010
      Next review date: 1/07/2025
      Status: External Administration
Type: Australian Proprietary Company, Limited By Shares
Locality of registered office: BRAESIDE VIC 3195
Regulator: Australian Securities & Investments Commission

      • once all the TV's are sold there will be no more of these

And no servicing, no spares, and no warranty. Not even ACL protection. Unless you could argue that the failure of the seller to inform customers that they are selling a product from a bankrupt supplier shifts the obligation to them. Honesty and fair dealing would dictate you disclosed that.

        • Probably worth the risk at this price though.

          • @dandandan: Hi

We can assure you that these TVs do come with a 12 month warranty. For any issues with the JVLs after the warranty we do hardware service from our Truganina Warehouse in VIC, which has always been the case. We have also distributed these JVLs for some time now, however this was mostly to businesses.

We at SONIQ always aim to provide reliable hardware at the best possible pricing! :)

            • @soniqaustralia: Also a side note, there might be some delays for pick up (2 - 4 business days) just simply due to the volume of orders we had over the break. There's also the public holiday Friday of next week which could cause delays in pick up for certain customers as well. We apologies for this, and we at SONIQ appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get everything out as quickly as possible.

              • @soniqaustralia: Any updates on pickup in QLD? I haven’t heard anything since I placed my order back on the 20th.

                • @GCJT: Hi,

All the TVs ordered from the sale are currently enroute to the interstate warehouses. They should arrive by Monday and will be processed throughout the week. You will receive an email to pickup no later than Friday next week. If you have any more questions, please contact us via [email protected]

  • For those having trouble changing pickup location, try changing your state in the checkout then refresh the page - did the trick for me.

  • OOS

    • Thank goodness.

  • I purchased a 55" but need a smaller one. Did anyone buy this want to swap melb city?

    • That's when great bargains are announced one after another. You buy something good, then they announce something you would have liked even better.

    • Don't worry, it will seem big at first but after a while you'll not even give it a 2nd thought.

      • +1

Lol nah, it's going in the bedroom, I was already unsure about size, and then the missus saw another 55 and was like hell no. Offer still out there for whoever wants to swap.

  • Deal is back

    • OOS.
