I am building a new computer and found this to be pretty cheap compared to Aus stores.
Some sort of Big Save deal.
Hope others find it good :)

Are you assuming it's fake just because it's sold on AliExpress? Take a look at these deals:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/895801

I purchased 5 CPUs from aliexpress during the last sale. 2x 7700, 2x 8500g, 1x 5700x and they were all legit. People dont usually report back when there is nothing wrong. Store i used was SZCPU though.
@tomochin1991: This exactly.
Mine is working a treat, 5700x.
No one ever really says much after a sale unless there's a problem.
Another successful purchase here. Thought it was common knowledge now that AliExpress has good deals. 7500f for under $200 arrived in 5 days.
Stick to sellers with over 1000 sales and good reviews.
I got the 7800x3d and it’s perfect. Saved $220
I've bought 5 as well, all worked fine.
Got the 7700 from last deal at $223.39 AUD (excl $30 TCB as that is still processing). Works perfectly as a replacement for a 5600X which had USB issues.
Even the used server Xeons that I've bought from AliExpress have been fine - well packaged too.
Ali has better customer service than Ebay these days.
I would say in 90% of the cases it is the same store running shops on Ali and Ebay.
You just have to be careful, I have bought a 5700X3D without issue for example.
Just research the seller and if you can confirm others have successfully bought from them
Important to check the seller has verified sales for that item or check other sales the seller has had and they also have been with verified sales
Gave the OP a plus for it anyways!
Don't most youtubers recommend it since it's so much cheaper?
Steve from HUB has mentioned that his bought many from the Ali Express in the past… mostly 7500F's but yeh they do get them and he didn't mention ever being ripped off and of all people he'd be able to tell if they weren't legit.
Still, obviously do your homework on the seller and it's not different on Amazon and other Market places all of them have scammers on them.
Tech Yes City said go for it, so I will. Thanks for the endorsing the deal.
microcode exploits therotically possible but with my limited understanding it would rely on the chance you try and run software which is aware of the exploit
extremely low probability of this ever being an issue
On a CPU.. never. on a motherboard maybe in the rom, but if its a brand name you can flash the bios. :)
Affiliated product so eligible for cashback :D
CPUs are solid and don't have issues. Go for it if you can afford, and avoid all Intel and Nvidia products!
userbenchmark: 😡
Any decently priced motherboard to pair the cpu with?
Does anyone review the Chinese AMD motherboards? Taiwanese boards like MSI, Gigabyte should be fine. Asrock has had some issues with the higher-end x3D chips.
bought a maxsun motherboard with mine… no issues yet. I would avoid gigabyte these days.
i picked one up, thanks OP.
building a mini ITX portable LAN PC
What a deal! I got my 7700 a month ago off Ali (different seller) for $265 (note that these prices are excluding GST though)
I was definitely worried about fakes etc but so long as you find a reputable seller (ie read reviews and look for the verified tick etc) and mine definitely isn't fake and got it for literally half the price any aussie store was selling them for.
I think I'm converted now! I don't know if I'll ever pay ridiculous Australian prices again for my PC parts
These were $220 AUD (exc. GST) on ali express a few weeks ago when I was looking for a new AM5 Ryzen CPU. But I ended up going with the 9700x from Centrecom instead with a free copy of Monster Hunter Worlds, because if you know how to tune the 9700x properly - it is as fast as the 7800X3D.
I'm in the same boat with a new 9800x on the way. Any tips you can share for tuning, or links? Thx
I got a 7700 + Maxsum B650, both work well. Overclock + Undervolt.
Are the mainboards much cheaper than a locally purchased equivalent?
I did a quick Google and they seem similarly priced.
I paid US$108 for the mITX, which was 2/3 the cheapest local price.
I bought a maxsun b650itx last time around with the sale and coupons got it for $136aud came to $156aud with GST/free shipping.. Haven't used it yet as I'm still looking for a case to go on sale, but it looks like a good motherboard and considering it's $249 cheapest here can't really go wrong
IM on firefox, can you add it to that?
Cheers
Price is back down to AU$238.62 excl GST for me
You need to select USD currency to get the price OP has mentioned
any 5700X3D deals still going on AE? Used to come down to mid $200s but have not seen any for a while and priced much higher now
No chance.. AMD has discontinued.. of both the 5700X3d and 5800X3d..
Get one anywhere whilst you can..
Pretty much zero available in retail…
https://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=5700X3d&sp…
As the Apex gaming CPU of the AM4 platform.. they will remain high in demand for upgrade for a many years to come..
Time for people to just go for Ryzen 7500F, 7600, 7700 or 9600 from now on to get similar performance to the 5700X3d and 5800X3d
kinda thread jacking here but anyone see any deals on the 7800x3d chips? I did a search however I wasn't sure how to determine which is fake or real? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
This previous deal is showing up as ~$560aud for me.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/898789
Edit: $545aud if I change currency to USD.
From a comment posted on the previous deal that TheMidnightChef posted.
"You can see under the name, it'll show "Certified brands & committed genuine items" for genuine product and JS-Computer is a well known store in aliexpress."
I ordered a 7800x3d from them 4 days ago and they've been good so far with uploading photos of the chip before sending and its awaiting customs clearance here. My price was $570.44 + $57.13 taxes. Once my local motherboard arrives i'll try to update how the chip is.
Thanks op just ordered one for a new build
This is now US $158.99.
