Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 $499 + Delivery (Varies by Postcode) @ Panmi

910
BossSpecial

An all time low price on the Xiaomi Scooter 4 with Password Lock reduced to clear from Panmi. This is a good option if you want something decent for a bit of fun, shorter commutes or something for the teens to ride. Especially since it's from Xiaomi/Segway and not some generic rebrand from China which has a good chance of snapping from inferior build quality.

  • Apply the coupon Boss Special (space included) at checkout

Featuring a 300W front motor with 600W max power, up to 35km range, 3 speed modes with up to 25km/h speed, front eABS + rear dual disc brakes, 10" tubeless tyres, password locking, suitable for riders up to 110kg and can be connected to the Mi Home app via Bluetooth for settings, locking etc.

Delivery will depend on your post code, i.e. $39 or $79.

  • $599 delivered on Amazon and +$15 shipping on Bunnings

I copied and pasted a link from Amazon as usual but marked as unallowed link this time. Weird.

Lots of 40Km/h scooters for under $400 on ebay. Not sure of the quality…

  • Only 25kmh max speed. Any way to make these faster?

Older Xiaomi/Segway scooters could be reflashed with custom firmware very easily with a phone. With later models that's no longer the case. The only solution I've found is this blog in German where it's done using special tools to interface with the controller directly and it's really not worth it.

For an out of the box faster scooter you'd have to double your budget. Something like the Dragon Cruiser for $999 will go 40km/hr with plenty of better options $1200+

      • Dragon scooters looks interesting plenty power but poor range. Rather see something that goes 35km/h max but double the range 120km than 60 and 55km.

        • If you want realistic 120km range in an escooter expect to pay over $5000 with a 72V battery. Or get an EUC.

48V/52V batteries can get 50km range realistically. 60V/20A+ will get you even more.

40kph on a 1M wheelbase vehicle with 20cm wheels and rider mass towering so high over the axles sounds like a great way to accelerate natural selection.

        • COVID worked better for overpopulation

    • This Wouoda is 50km range and 40km/h speed. Not sure. The seller rating and sale look ok.

Btw this guy who also Panmi made a youtube review.

Just note that the range is often based on something along the lines of "70kg person riding on flat ground in eco mode". 20-30km range is more realistic than 50km.

        • True based on the same 7Ah battery the range should be similar. One review said (if not fake)

I weight 73kgs and this scooter carries me along nicely, up to 33+ kmh, and can easily go up 30+ degree incline hills..

If they can hack the speed and good quality I'm in. But still doubt the choice. First time buying an escooter myself.

          • @bcYield: That review refers to the speed and not range.

            • @Clear: Yeh speed and not range as I missed the h in that lol.

I guess sticking with Xiaomi for peace of mind.

  • Yo sexy. What about WA?

    • +2

Hey babe xo. WA should be $79 delivery by the looks.

  • Got a refund on my delivery fee!! Company looks legit!!

  • Saw some mates riding them in Westfield, is it allowed there inside the mall?

    • +2

      No.

  • Hey Clear when are we getting a deal on a site to site transporter?

  • Anyone got any recommendations for a scooter similar to this with suspension?

    • Ninebot G2. Worth paying extra for

  • Didn't pamni lose Xiaomi distribution in Australia or something? I feel like I've threatened to take them to fair trading over something before as their customer service was a bit of a pain. Apparently I'm not good at learning lessons though as I've just bought this scooter; seems like a great option for ducking down to the local shops to grab milk when we run out, etc

Might even take it over to catch a tram to work some days (Canberra), as I'm not close enough to the line to walk to it in a reasonable time.

    Shipping kills this deal

  • Governments continually fail us as they are behind the times and do not provide the infrastructure to meet trends and technology. They are still living in the 80s. There is no infrastructure for transport that travel between 5 and 50 km/hr. They say Canberra do it well, and there are some good dedicated bike laneways in Brisbane, but still not enough. Small motorised vehicles are not going to go away.

Just move to Melbourne. Problem solved ;). I work 7.5km from home and scoot in most days when not working from home. It’s roughly 20 min scoot each way and I charge my scooter at work for free. Saves me thousands and time not having to take PT or drive parking cost etc. so convenient. PS. I ride a ninebot max2 for last 18 months.

  • I want one but can't afford ATM, what a shame for me lol have fun guys

  • Got an email from Panmi that my postcode is not eligible for free delivery. They want an extra $50 for delivery. When I ordered It was eligible. Not happy

  • $100 shipping to Perth kills the deal

    • The stock is probably in the East. Do people from Perth think they’re next to Sydney

  • They must have plenty of stock. When the deal stays active I feel buyers remorse.

    • 200-300pcs at the time of posting I believe.

    • +2

It's a deal and not a clearance sale or heavy discount that got bargained in an hour. $400 and under would make it sweet as many similar unknown brands ones on ebays are at these prices.

Grabed 1 cuz free shipping for me and I have no knowledge of those scooters on ebay.

    • +1

I know what you mean, it can feel less special, but ATL is ATL.

  • $100 shipping to Tasmania….

  • For the life of me I can't see where to add the discount code on the checkout page if anyone is able to help??

    Thanks

    • Same here - did you manage to find it?

      • Nope, still can't find it. And I've emailed Panmi and messaged via the website and no response

  • Looks like Panmi site has a new offer on this that comes with a helmet, no code necessary. However I can’t find the code box anymore. Shame I lulled yesterday and missed out today.

    • The offer existed when this was posted. The code isn't appliance to that deal.

      • I was able to put the code in last time, seems they took off that now, exactly after I looked up the comparison and found this vastly better than the Aldi $399 one.

It doesn't look very solid, and it doesn't look cheap.

    • Got mine a few days ago, unpacked it today. It feels very solid. Steel neck, quality plastic trim, etc.
