          And if he (or you) get keen, you can buy the 1:14 scale, 14209/14210, or the larger 1:10 scale 10208 v2.

    Can the remote take rechargable batteries @ 1.2v each or only non rechargeable @ 1.5v each?

      I don't know why this myth has suddenly started spreading around 🤷

      None rechargeable alkaline batteries are also below 1.2v for over 70% of their capacity. They're only 1.5v when they're full - as soon as you start using the battery it's down to 1.2v at 70% capacity and down to 1.1v at 40% capacity and the voltage keeps dropping from there (these numbers are with about a 300mW load).

      If your device needs a battery, then it will almost certainly work with a normal Eneloop rechargeable. There are only a miniscule percentage of devices that are genuinely not compatible with Eneloops - it's not something you need to check.

        I purchased a similar drift rc recently where the remote required 4 x AA. Didn't work with eneloops so had to purchase non rechargeable batteries. The remote then worked.

    I bought a couple of these RC cars from aliexpress, they are trash, no power and very short remote distance, refunded straight away. I wouldn't trust with anything runs in 1 or 2 small batteries again.
