This is the programmable version with the variable remote steam release options. There does seem to be some redeemable options to reduce price a tad further.
Same price at Kitchen Warehouse

Allows you to release steam at the office.
The intermittent steam release is a good feature. It takes less time than natural pressure drop but it reduces the likelihood of blowing legumes through the vent.
if you're getting food in your steam release vent y need a bigger pot
@0jay: Legumes are notorious for doing that. Most recipes recommend natural release to avoid it. I had a fast/slow pro and that had this option. It also means you don’t get a great gust of steam so your exhaust fan has a better chance of keeping up. It is one thing I missed with my Instant Pot.
That's what the toilet cubicle is for.
Could a solution be to just use a slow cooker? I am just realising now that this comment might have been a bit tongue in cheek
then if there is a network issue, it may boom. Never cook when nobody is at home
The continual pressing of the buttons does deteriorate the screen a tad. Also you can do step by step recipes with the app. If you look at the website with the videos it gives a bit of an idea.
Many new ones no longer have ethernet ports and headphone jacks.
Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
back in stock
sorry its only for special metro customers. regional ones need not apply.
Weird, I’m Perth Metro and it’s showing as unavailable.
Did you try from Kitchen Warehouse instead?
I just updated the link in the deal description to force Amazon to show you the Amazon AU listing for this product. Are you now able to see (and presumably purchase) the product?
I have one of the older models. My pot takes ages to heat up, it took 1.5hrs just to heat up for a 6 hr slow cook. Does anyone else have this issue?
I don’t tend to use it for slow cooking. You might want to look at the Slow Cook high setting to begin with. The video for the site below says they recommend a ten hour cooking time.
The IP is nit noted for its slow cooking setting. The low setting is barely a keep warm.
It was $159 in November, but I missed that deal! Hoping to get it for the price again….
The Prob plus for Australia? Where from?
Unlikely.
Thanks for link
There look like iverengineered expensive pressure cookers. My 30 buck Target one gets used all the time for 10 years and had no issues. I don't slow cook in it either, I have a slow cooker for that
Not the same beast but if the Target one makes you happy then go for it.
Video won’t play for me.
Our rice does “cook” for 3 minutes, however it takes about 5 minutes to come up to pressure and we usually leave it stand for ten afterwards.
Is there a way to convert Kmart and Aldi rice cookers to smart turn-on? Just want to cook rice before coming home..
My understanding is that you are better off cooking the rice the day before and letting it stand in the fridge overnight. Then reheat it for serving. Apparently the rice is less gluggy and is better for digestion.
Smart plug, if you can put something light enough on the switch to make it stay down before power-on but switch off when it finishes the cycle. Do a test run.
Thank You.. tried it with Aldi one but the switches are smooth and bulging out.. Can't do it.. May be works with the Kmart one..
I would be very careful with this, having rice cooked is one thing, burning your house down because you are too tight to buy a proper solution is another. I guess you could also time how long it takes your rice to cook and power it off after
Can it run crysis
How is this a bargain?
Because it is cheaper than other current prices.
Why a pot needs wifi…
