  • If you connect this to one of the listed power stations, what's the pattern of battery usage? e.g. does it drain both batteries at the same % rate, or one faster than the other?

It's good but only works with some models as a huge power bank, not all, and has quite uncommon cable type and does not come with a power adapter so there is no way to recharge unless hooked up to solar.
I think (not 100% sure but I think) that only the AC 60 can actual charge it

Unless you have a model that can mutually charge this you would be better off getting on of those 100Ah batteries when they are near $200 and a decent charger.

Yeah… it has a lot of negatives IMO. I have the AC180 which I purchased for at-home battery backup for the fridge/freezer and small devices, not realising that it's not part of the "expandable" series where you can add extra units in a proper passthrough setup.

Nevertheless, I've been on the lookout for a deal on the B80 and this is a cracker deal…. but re-thinking it all tonight, even at the huge discount… I'm gonna pass. On top of the $500, I need to also purchase a bespoke $150 AC wall adapter just to charge the B80 at home, and then when in use, you're using one battery (B80) to charge another battery (AC180), so there's the inherent inefficiency and losses of that process.

Also, in stand-alone mode, it is DC only with no AC inverter. So again… not ideal for at-home use. I'm sure it's great for van-life or camping etc.

I'd rather keep an eye out for a deal on another full-fledged battery device, either Bluetti or another.

I do not need this. I do not need this. Go to bed now…. :D

    • It says there are a few ways to charge it like cigarette lighter connection etc, and it comes with a cable for your unit if you have one

This is great price, I don't need it, I don't need it

  • A better deal is when they have the AC60+B80 combo on sale. Also, the AC60 and B80 are weather resistant and rated to IP65. So you can use it for outdoors camping, in case it suddenly starts raining.

    • Interestingly ive left my non ip54 units out in the rain and they seem fine
