      Same reason car rims/tyres are, it's just the standards that were set at the time before the metric system came into effect, it's also just easier for industry to reference to as well

          That one, I cannot answer for.
          Interesting enough, we use to use it for tyre width too, so it did change at some point BUT it is still used for rim widths though, go figure.

      When you reverse a car with a trailer, the trailer doesn’t follow the same direction. If you turn the car left, the trailer will start turning right, and vice versa. This happens because the trailer moves around the tow point (the hitch). Reversing slowly and making small steering adjustments makes the whole process smoother and you get used to it.

      The trailer is not meant for roof tent, you can carry the tent and accessories though. Or any trailer repair shop can assist you with ladder racks which you can use for the purpose.

    can recommend this company and their trailers. their heavy duty line - are really heavy duty trailers.
    just have a look at their draw bar and frame under the trailer and compare with the other "brands".
    a lot of trailers on a market that are substandard even somehow they are obtained 2000kg atm certification.

      There is only one special offer on 8x5 Galvanised cage trailer at the moment. The trailer is for $2799. I am sure you would find this price as best in the market.

          From my understanding is all the galvanised trailers are China imports because its too expensive to galvanised them here.

      It really depend upon the usage, if you are carrying wet loads or living in coastal areas, you should consider buying galvanised else these painted trailers last for years and you can touch them up with spray cans.
