Hi, you may contact the customer service at [email protected] for the deals.

  • One of these or p1s?

After the bullshit that Bambu are pulling with locking down their machines, I'd go Creality.

      • I bought after, so I didn't notice anything

        • i think coming from Apple background, tinkering is more burdensome.

      • Thank you, was not aware, Bambu off my list :-)

      • For my casual home use, the changes don't bother me at all. If I was running a print farm I might be more concerned.

I'm just sharing my experience here and not knocking the printer itself.
I purchased a k1 max from their store directly in Feb. I received the printer with scuff marks and dirty, dust, etc. in rails, and the screen wouldn't show the serial number. The printer can still print, but the bed was also very way off, and i needed to replace it. I contacted them immediately and tried to initiate support for it. They insisted i send it back, and they would send me a new one, but I'd have to cover the cost to ship it back. I declined because it all just felt too inconvenient, and i didn't feel like spending more money on it to be sent away and potentially returned with other issues. $150 for me to send it back.
As time went on and i learned more about this printer, i realised it was actually sent as new, but i received a refurbished model. The tell signs were all of what i stated above, but the actual x and y motors are what gave it away. They had revisioned their k1 model over time and replaced those motors with smaller ones and a new motherboard.
So i contacted them again and requested they send me the parts instead, which they did.
Unfortunately i cant say it was a great experience and having the fact that i had to chase and spend so much time following up, and getting parts sent out to essentially rebuild the printer with new parts was just not worth the effort and money saved buying it directly from their store.
Im not saying its not a good printer or dont buy it, but do youre research and see if its worth your time buying it directly through them or jusf buying it from a local reseller who you can take it back to if anything goes wrong.
Aside from that, it is actually a pretty neat printer, and having the enclosure is handy. There are lots of mods out there, but even running it as stock, its printing is very good.

Sorry this happened to you mate. We are rocking a K1C which has had a couple issues where their support (via their eBay store) has been quite unhelpful. A quick reminder of Australian Consumer Guarantees got them helping much more efficiently here.

For anyone who may be unaware though if a situation like this happens to you with Creality, or any retailer really, they’re responsible for covering your return shipping costs for any faults whilst under warranty etc and even more so when something has been delivered like this that’s obviously not what you’ve ordered.

Hello, we're very sorry you had this bad experience. But I can 100% guarantee that as an official store, we absolutely do not sell any refurbished or used machines - only brand new ones. This is our ironclad promise.

If you did receive a used machine (which shouldn't happen), we will definitely replace it with the newest model for you, no matter where the problem occurred. If you're still willing, you can send the previous details to [email protected], and we'll reinvestigate your case again.

Regarding the K1 MAX: we did undergo a product upgrade before, during which both old and new versions might have been sold simultaneously. But all machines currently being sold are the newest version - the CFS-compatible model with optimized performance in all aspects.

Lastly, we really appreciate you being so fair about this - it takes a good person to point out the positives even after problems. Thanks for that.

      • Thanks fiona. I will email you shortly and we can go from there.

      • Did you get my email?

I cannot, with any confidence recommend a creality printer.

I had a v3 s1 pro for 2 years which I bought new from the creality store. I am not exaggerating when I say I spent more time trying to fix the thing than it had print hours.

They are touted as the 'tinkerer's printer' and I thought that would suit me well. It did not.

Over the printers life with me I ended up putting more than the initial cost of the machine into spare parts.
    - warped z axis plated
    - warped print bed
    - cheap bearings produced a wobble on all travel directions.
    - new hot end.
    - new extruder motor

The hot bed frying was the final nail in the coffin for me with it.

Ended up booting it and picking up a Bambu a1. The difference is night and day. No more re-leveling the bed for every print. faster print times. no more 'print anxiety.'

    YMMV though.

I was running a prusa for ages, and lording it over the ender people online with tons of experiences like yours. Whereas the prusa was an occasional tune or update to do because I wanted to tinker, not because the printer failed in a way that required it. Then I bought a bambu P1S and it was a step up again in "print n play". I really really rate Bambu at this price segment.

Having said that, they've burned a lot of trust with their mismanagement of the "security" enhancement software update rollout. A printer that can take open source firmware is certainly a plus for me now (again).

I did think creality allowed loading other open source firmware on their printers, but I can't see it listed on this model's page. It's also disappointing that instead of contributing optimisations for their printers back to orca slicer, they instead just forked it into their own slicer. It's like they're this close to understanding what people want from open source code printers, and then just walk into the door jam instead of through the door.

I got one of these at work, don't rate, it had pretty average print quality.

Gotta say, Creality printers, bang for buck are superb. I've owned several ender 3's, Kingroon and wanhao FDM printers, the creality's have always delivered.
Saying that though, I've just plumped down on a P1S AMS combo.

I'm kinda over tinkering a bit now to get things going and really like the idea of a tested multi-colour / filament solution.
I'll be selling off all my older FDM printers as a result.

I did think long and hard about which new printer to get, but my 'go big' idea backfired with the Wanhao D9 (though it did teach me a lot about printing), so i'll see what happens, the K1's look superb
