When some of the most unreliable euro manufacturers build a car and it turns out to be one of the more reliable jeeps you know you have a problem.
Front Wheel Drive and NMC battery…

The 7 registered are probably demo models?
Wouldn't mind picking up a used one in 12 months for $25k.
Length = 4m, is it SUV or hathback
It's an urban crossover.
So a hatchback on stilts
Small compact SUV sub category
Does it use the same battery as the Wrangler that caught fire a few days ago?

There are thousands of videos on Youtube of Chinese cars catching fires too.
China China China China China China China
Oh we're talking about Jeeps?
i feel like Geely X5 is the best value mid sized electric SUV at the moment
Yeah it might be currently but it not a driver car like an mg4 XPower.
it is. brought this tier of interior features straight from 80+k to 40+k.
Could of at least made it 150KW to the rear wheels to make it way more attractive and maybe included an All wheel drive 200KW+ option for more money.
Agree needs at least 150kw
Should have always been at this price + suspect they will have to go even lower to get stock moving
They have to dump these somewhere as US tariff has gone from 25% to 55% under Trump best I can tell. Maybe in the Gulf of America?
Do you know how the tarrif works? This is manufactured in America, it's not being imported to America for the tarrif to apply to it.
Yep, can spell it too. they are made in Poland. If imported to US would be subject to previous 25 % car tariff, and new 10% Poland and 20% EU tariffs.
You are right sir! I was unaware that these were made in Poland. Thought Jeeps were made in the US, hence my comment. Thanks for sharing!
Poor quality brand.
It's still priced wrong. It really should be $32k driveaway MAX. They might sell another 7 with this pricing.
spec says up to 390km range, which means about 300km in reality…Overpriced EV.
That looks like a really nice car
Jeep owners are as bad as the cars themselves.
So I bought the sister car to this, the Peugeot e-2008 for the same price, this time last year, when they did a similar runout promotion. It's been great so far, no issues. Doing good work carting around a family of 4 (2 kids in baby seats) and also my daily driver 100km commute 3 days a week.
Peugeot e-2008
Still good in 2025?
If they drop it to $10k, I might buy one to use as a home battery system.
Quite slow acceleration for an Electric (9secs 0 to 100kph) but if you are coming from an ICE car it will be ok.
Looks a good price but is a very small SUV at 4.087m lenght. Even an MG4 is longer at 4.287m.
Pretty sure this is the same Jeep EV that broke down several times during Carwows review
Jeep forced them to pull the review, unsure if it’s cleaned off the internet entirely
I recently sold my 2014 Jeep grand Cherokee after Jeep stopped making parts for it 3 years ago
I thought it was odd until I spoke to a friend unable to get parts for his 1 year old grand Cherokee, he drove around a loan car from Jeep for 6 months
Use caution buying any car owned by Stellantis Group
Car manufacturers silencing critics is a concern. It's not just Stellantis. BYD has also sued journos and bloggers.
It's a Jeep. Was anyone expecting it NOT to be a piece of junk?
I want it

"EV batteries are designed to last the lifespan of the Avenger. This is why Jeep adds an 8-year battery warranty."
Is it just me or this description is saying the lifespan of avenger is only 8 year's.
Even 8 years is very optimistic ;)
Remember guys, if you are hell bent on a full EV, you should buy Chinese. I will give you the reason why. All the battery innovation is being done in China, the very latest and best tech breakthroughs. China's speed of innovation and prompt manufacturing has to be admired. Chinese suppliers do not send their 'best batteries' to other companies like American and European or even Japanese manufacturers. Why would they? They reserve the latest and greatest for their own Chinese manufacturers. I am sure in the Jeep, you will be getting 3rd grade batteries which Jeep sources on the cheap. The absolute cheapest off the shelf components a few years old to slap together a car. I would buy a Chinese EV over Jeep. In this case, you need to think the opposite way, 'it's Jeep which is a legacy brand name with decades of car manufacturing experience and thus you will be getting something better and higher quality' then these 'startup' Chinese brands, NOPE, it's the opposite. NO ONE can keep up with the Chinese battery innovation and EV drive line tech, not even Mercedes, BMW, Audi or even Toyota. It is one of those things that, the world just cannot compete no matter how much legacy tech they have as those 100 years of combustion engine and drive line tech and refinement is all now useless. It is a clean slate 'ground zero' with EV's and the Chinese are just too fast as they don't have a legacy brand and 'old ways of doing things' to protect.
They reserve the latest and greatest for their own Chinese manufacturers.
The BYD vehicles sold outside of China might also have the lesser grade batteries that you speak of….
and also,
safety and features on chinese EVs have generally been "tested" and sorted out over hundreds of thousands of units for 1-2 years before they make it to Aus markets.
Saw one of these at the Goolwa beach ( SA ) charger a few weeks back. Looked good but I'd still be concerned as its a Jeep
Apart from initial price, what was wrong with this car?
Stellantis not honouring warranties
1980s interior. go compare it IRL vs competition in this price bracket like Atto 3, Omoda E5, Geely EX5. There's at least $20k worth of difference.
Jeep. There's only one.
Made A Mistake I Bought A Lemon Jeep song by Teggy – Jeep Grand Cherokee
If you pee on tree and make the lemons nice and juicy you can call them lemon’s a Jeep Cherokee
LOL.

2.4 million views and people still buy these things.
True Fact - 95% of all Jeeps are still on the road. 5% made it home.
This is why the Avenger is actually pretty good a tiny bit more reliable because the Italians built it :D
