Google Pixel Watch 3 LTE 45mm $335 Delivered @ Telstra (Telstra ID Required)

960
APPWAT60

Saw the conversation about the wireless charger but when I clicked on Telstra app o clock I got this deal instead

Seems a lot cheaper than the other deals posted here for the Google Pixel Watch 3

As there's less than an hour left and only 200 available, hitting post now rather than getting a good description.

    • -1

      Get a Telstra service

      • ive never used telstra, made a new account and it showed me my id straight away

        • -1

My bad. I've always had issues trying to make a new account. Seems to work for me now thanks.

Thanks. Bad run this week…bought this exact watch and scratched it up on day 2 against a concrete pillar..and then bought the pixel buds pro 2 at full price and missed out on the $99 deal. Haha that's life. Great watch otherwise. Thanks for posting.

    • I got 2 and scratched it second day. Think because of rounded "corners" and not as protected as example apple watch.

  • +2

    Thanks

Ordered. Hopefully it goes well with my pixel 9 pro from the last deal

  • Is it locked to telstra?

    • +2

      nope!

      • +1

but. Only telstra supports pixel watch LTE. Optus is also listed on googles support document, however it has had:

"Google Pixel Watch 3 is cellular capable, however, the Optus Network is not currently able to support its cellular capabilities."

Listed on the optus site since release.

Vodafone was also on that support document at release but was removed from it shortly after release.

In terms of MVNOs that are slowly adding in watch add-on plans (everyday mobile, tangerine, more I think?) what I've read is they support apple watch and samsung watches only.

Effectively the PW3 LTE is telstra only for LTE connection.

        • +1

Very hard to justify using LTE on the watch at all under these conditions - you'd need a very specific use-case to make it worth switching to a Telstra month-to-month plan + paying the extra $10 a month or whatever it is for the number sharing

  • +2

    I don't need one of these…

Thanks. Ordered. Had a bunch of telstra points expiring at the end of the month as well so it came done to $253.

  • I don't need LTE and they don't have Bluetooth only version

    • +1

      LTE for you then.

      • -1

Thank you Mr Pichai but I'll rather wait for Samsung Galaxy 7 BT

        • +3

Why not just get LTE and…never use that functionality?

          • @LilSlip: As i understand Battery life is much better without LTE versions

            • +5

@Danger: The Pixel Watch 3 LTE and non-LTE models have the same battery size according to the specifications:
              * Pixel Watch 3 (41mm): 310 mAh battery
              * Pixel Watch 3 (45mm): 420 mAh battery

You can disable LTE on the Pixel Watch 3 and you will get similar battery life to the non-LTE version.
If it is cheaper to have it and not use it most (or all) of the time, it is probably worth it?

To disable LTE/Mobile Network on the Pixel Watch 3:
              1. Swipe down from the top to access Quick Settings.
              2. Tap the Settings gear icon.
              3. Scroll down and tap Connectivity.
              4. Tap Mobile.
              5. Toggle Mobile to Off.

This disables LTE/mobile connectivity, forcing the watch to rely on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, which uses significantly less battery.

@Danger: To simplify Oz Dave's answer (thanks by the way!) it's like buying a phone without a flashlight and a phone with a flashlight that is on by default.

You'll get worse battery life on the phone with the flashlight on, but you can just turn it off and you'll have the same battery life.

Same thing with the pixel watch, it only has worse battery if you're actually using the LTE feature. You can choose to not use it.

Snapped one up, thanks OP. Never had a smart watch before and I'm excited to become insufferable about my daily steps.

  • +1

    Nice, ty.

  • Other colours too?

    • +1

I think so, it didn't specify a colour in the app

EDIT: Yep tested and it worked

  • +2

    Thanks - ordered as well.
Had problems in the Telstra app applying the code and points - website was fine though.
Kinda glad I missed the pixel 2 watch that Telstra had on sale a few weeks back - only missed that because of the ID process stuffing up.. was smooth this time around.

  • If my Pixel Watch 2 wasn't already so good, I probably would upgrade. Just don't see much point

    • I feel the same actually. I was tempted to buy it at this price but my Pixel Watch 2 is the first smart watch I've owned that I've had zero complaints with. It just works and I never have to worry about the battery life.

I take it off to shower and pop it in charge for 20 min while I get ready and the battery never runs out.

  • +2

    Thanks OP

  • +3

Wow, got one seconds before it expired! Thanks OP

  • Hmm I have the galaxy watch 4, hoping this will be a good enough upgrade.

  • +2

    Just got one

  • Code working for me but I don't want it, so not buying. Good deal OP.

  • Got one too, thanks OP I missed out on the pixel watch 2, this seems like a better deal

  • +1

    Code expired?

  • +1

Code still working, just placed an order now

    • +1

      I'm getting expired 😭

  • +1

Nope not working for me anymore.

  • placing order 1 hour.ago
    lucky

  • is there a reason this is considered better than galaxy watch 7? that one has sapphire glass and was similar price for LTE 44mm on secret sale, with a fancy band, too.

    • I'd daresay sapphire glass (watch7) is better than gorilla glass (pixel watch3) in terms of scratch resistance.
But I wouldn't call myself an expert with the implementation of the sapphire glass on the watch 7. If it's on par with a traditional watch + sapphire crystal, then expect extreme scratch resistance.

    • Pixel watch performs better at sleep and heart rate tracking - which is one of he main reasons people buy a smart watch.

      • thank you, I'll research. I've been GW user since early days, and like Samsung Health ecosystem. but curious what else is out there

for HR in general I find that smart watches don't cut it for me, as I lift and wrist wraps and straps inadvertently get in the way. or actually vice versa, smart watches get in the way and I tend to put them into the duffel for the gym sessions regardless.

  • No ant+

  • It has one of the best optical HRM's on the market. Beats Garmin and anything else available for Android. Just don't try using it for strength training, But that goes for any optical HRM.

    • Why not beating Apple watch at this price?

      • At what price? The HRM performance and sleep phase detection is actually similar to Apple's. This is the main reason why I switched from the Samsung Galaxy Watch to the Pixel Watch. My Garmin Fenix 8 costs 6 times more and is less accrutate, but the best thing about it is the ability to pair a chst strap for working out, but I also like its look much better.

        • I mean pixel watch at this can beat many watches including apple watches.

  • How is the battery life like on this one? Got one nonetheless 😬

    • +1

Should last the whole day (not night) for non heavy users. Put on charging for another 15mins or so to secure if I sleep wearing it, from a person owning a pixel watch 2.

    • +1

Turning off irregular heart rhythm (with everything else on) will give you two days of battery life easily. With 30 minutes workout logging each day.
With irregular heart rhythm on, it goes down around one day.
I don't play music on the watch itself.

      • +1

I've been using Garmin fenix 3 since it's launch and used to excellent multi week battery life. Time to upgrade and can't justify 5 times the price this went for.
2 days sounds reasonable, was worried it won't last even a day.

        Thanks for the inputs

    Telstra bringing the deals…

  • +1

Another miss… My PW2 is still going strong.

  • What exactly do I need to get notifications on Telstra deals? No emails from Telstra Plus account. Would have been good to get the pixel watch 3

  • -1

Tempting price. But hate fitbit features that need 24/7 heart rate sensor which kills battery

  • Any idea if we can stack up 6 months free Fitbit with pixel 9 + 6 additional with the watch?

  • Any new deal today??

    • Nothing here.

  • Anyone had theirs ship?

    • Didn't order this, but the other orders took a few days before shipped. 3-5 days.

  • Been notified that Mine shipped.

    • Same here, and apparently coming today (Melbourne)

  • Mines on backorder hmmm
