I don't know if this is a good finance deal, but I do know you're stuck with a bZ4X at the end of it
$72,251* Driveaway????
Lol yep, for a pos front wheel drive. It's no wonder the Chinese are taking over.
The only front wheel drive I would ever step foot in is the CTR.
Hence, Toyota can't sell any.
Soon all cars available will be hybrid/electric. A car like this (ICE) would cost $30k 5 years ago. It's amazing to be robbed to "save" the planet.
Damn! That’s ridiculous for an ugly car with a stupid name!
id rather a au falcon
No wonder the car is not selling well
Ah memories. My first ever post was a Toyota Finance low rate so-called deal. 😂 Don't see them all that often now.
p.s. stopped working for Toyota in 2013.
you say they are a 'so-called' deal, does this mean it's not good? if so, how do they get ya?
Generally, no incentives are provided by TMC/TMCA for sales staff/managers to discount the price of the car. Sold at full tilt, basically.
Nah, still over priced and looks pretty dated.
There are a few seems ex demos at Pickles they cannot unload for $40k for months
Even carsales heaps they cannot move demos. So now cheap interest will be the difference. Not sure if Toyota made this car so bad to just say EV do not work.
Or did they think it sell?
Even Mid $40's if you do not want to buy Chinese Kia and Hyundai so much better carWait which non Chinese branded EV is in the 40s?
A Jeep…
Inster if you after small. EV3 just over $50k although wait 6 months
Remember friends do not let friends buy Jeeps :)
Toyota's sub par attempt at an EV
This car was released at least five years ago, and when the wheel came off when driving, they buy back all the cars on the market. Now they are launching it like a new car.
-1. This car came out 3 years ago, not 5.
beezedexfore
WD-40
Aussies are suckers for Toyota
Ozb is 🫠
Ahh so…
So…. enjoyy
Japanese Toyota man says ahh so
Not sure what they're going for with this design. Just make the RAV4 an EV and you've got another top seller on your hands, instead they go design this ugly POS.
They did a RAV4 EV years ago.. just used Tesla parts as they needed one for US market
I see at least 10 broken down toyotos on emergency lines daily yet forum's suckers come here and dare to compare cemry to Porche mecan. I personally dare not to compare my humble VAG car to other German cars.
You'll get over VAG buyer regret one day
WTF is VAG? Vagana?
I assume its Volk's wagon Auto Group?
Is anyone else put off by plastic trim on the outside of cars (in this case it's around the wheels)? I find that in the hotter states in Australia, these black plastic parts fade, and in this case making the car look even more ugly.
0.45 BTC is not a bad price for these if you paid $30,000 for Bitcoin in 2022 -2023. Actual cost $13,500 for a brand new Toyota electric car is pretty good.
It has to be reminded that this car is undergoing a significant revision, with the base model hp going from 150kw to 165kw and most importantly the range in massively increasing from around 430km today to around 570km. The new revised model will be available from late this year/early next year.
So better than the base Model 3's 520km?
It will always be a wait and see as things like WLTP are not perfect and real world can deviate a bit from the lab test. This is also a model Y competitor mainly.
I reckon the next version should be more palatable. Read somewhere that the Japanese will commence SS battery in 2025 or 2026 in small size for hybrid.
rubbish car
which can sell as 35000 dollars only even less in China. The battery of this car is the cheap and outdated technology, just like other car of toyota but with lots of quality problems.I can not find any reason to buy this shxt.
Not sure they still limit the amount of fast charging in a day.
When released you only charge it on DC twice a day to save battery.
Which be great driving Melb to Sydney :)
$71k drive away?
No thanks.Hahahaha…. they could offer 0% finance and still not worth the $72k price!!
No wonder they still have 23 and 24 stock. How pathetic. Ugly car, stupid name, sub par specs. Would need to be $30k less for it to be seriously considered by a buyer.
With what's available for the money these days this would have to be the most horrible value car on the market, no exaggeration. Go look what $72k buys you!Lexus is also stuck with a lot of 23 24 RX as well.
Problem is the RRP 120k. Which the equivalent ix3 EQC is under the lct threshold.Tested one as a loan car, not the fastest and doubt the bettary/motor management software is ahead of the Chinese cars too. Though, it stands out as a car, external noise is virtually eliminated and everything fitted right like a Lexus. Until Toyota can catch up on battery (motor management is easily), they won't sell for a premium over the established Chinese marques.
2023 and 2024 new and demo
What calendar are they using?
Even if it was negative finance you'd have to be literally insane to buy one on finance if a novated lease was available to you.
You use your own NL and tell them that you are financing your own
Or small business owners finance at 2% and provide the car for its director/employee to use for FBT exemption. Nothing to do with NL.The finance product being offered here isn't a lease that can be novated. Its a consumer finance product.
Not worth over $35k for brand new
Equivalent in that price bracket is Dolphin. This car is definitely better than a Dolphin. Not twice as good tho.
hard to say this old school EVs can better than Dolphin. Toyota has already give up their own design EV in other markets and cooperate with BYD (bz3c) and GAC group(bz3x).
In the EV world Toyota's brand name is actually inferior while BYD is in the opposite, need to take this into consideration.
The transition to EV seems very expensive to me even with Hybrids. The batteries last about 8 to 10 years and then it costs between 10 and 20k to replace. I'm assuming use case is only for city driving. Maybe I'm missing the point, and it's more of a save the planet thing. However, I've read that there is just as much if not more impact on the climate with battery manufacturing and disposal. What am I missing?
If you know the climate emergency is another wealth transfer scam you've not missed anything :-)
Because Benz linked the deal to Nissan for LOL before changing it to Toyota.
