Why don't more people know about this deal??

Is there a reason to go with another brand?

If it didnt sell Aldi wouldnt stock. Or do you think everyone should use it? Each person has their own preferences.

  • I can confirm i don't use this, therefore no one else does either.

I can also confirm that the next time the new ALP govt does something that pisses off the masses, nobody will have voted for them, at the election.

Is There a Reason People Make Dubious Claims about Laundry Powders on Ozbargain?

    • he must have an interest in aldi laundrite

      i demand an investigation!

  • "Trust me, I've spoken to many great people, some will say the greatest people ever in the world, that they don't use Aldi Laundrite Powder."

      Make Laundrite Great Popular Again

    • "This guy here uses Laundrite? Never heard of him. No one's ever heard of him. He's from the failing fake washing powder industry"

  • I must not be people because I use it.

  • i got nothing against it but i usually use the 'discs' as i find i can just throw them in and know i dont have too much or too little detergent

i stocked up on 100s of them the last time Amazon had big sale on them that was posted here

I think for a small load a pod/disc is too much detergent and a large load a pod/disc could be too little.

Those things are usually too much detergent…

  • Weird question, but ok.

I personally don't like using powders because they don't always dissolve properly. Having said that, the liquid detergent I buy is from ALDI and that works well.

    • Too much detergent?

      Cold wash?

      • I always use cold wash, yes

        • Warmer temps will help dissolve it

          • @JimB: Thanks for the advice. I guess the reason I have switched to liquid detergent is that I don't really want to use warm water and liquid detergent does not care.

            • @randysal: Maybe use powder for your whites.

Powder generally works better than liquids.

Plus you should run a hot cycle once in a while to clean your machine.

              • @JimB: I don't separate the whites either, never found that to be an issue.

Liquid works well enough for my needs, it was just the matter of finding one that was good.

Machine is pretty old, but I don't think there are any issues with its cleanliness. Interesting point though.

                • @randysal: The cleanliness of the machine is what you can’t see between the inner and outer drum.

Ironically using too much detergent will make your machine and clothes dirtier.

  • It smells, off.

  • I use it.

    Recently bought another box too.

Just note that it performs better with HOT water.

  • I prefer liquid in bulk with a tap, no science just personal preference.

    • Where do you get that from?

Mainly for the convenience, sits on the bench, like a goon bag.

PS: I use warm water and haven’t tried many brands,
I’m far from passionate about laundry detergent. Woolworths/Coles will also have this on sale at similar price.

  • need Technology Connection's opinion

  • I don’t mind the odd discount product but I buy laundry detergent based off the smell. No point saving $$ if you hate the way your clothes smell.

In my experience powders can leave marks whereas the ooze never causes such issues. I use the aldi liquid 2l bottle.

    • Same. Will use the powder in a pinch but the 2L Almat liquid works fine and is substantially cheaper than brand names even when they are on 1/2 price special.

  • Coles and Woolworths both sell 4kg of laundry powder for $5.

    What was the question?

  • 'Is There a Reason Why People Won't Use ALDI Laundrite Powder?'

Everybody is SHOCKED! at this news

In other news - nobody cares …

milady - she who washes with our top loader - says she doesn't use powder as in winter with cold water wash which is all we use, the powder doesn't dissolve, and then stays as residual on clothes - so that's why she uses liquid

    • Pro tip: you can add laundry powder to a cup of warm water to dissolve first.

I've been using this stuff weekly for 3 years and not even close to half way through, crazy good value and washes my filthy work clothes really well

  • My nearest Aldi seems to be 500 miles away.
Since they dropped that yellow orange chocolate I find it a bit hard to walk so far.
