i think those prices are just okay, for 2024 .. now we are almost on the 2nd half of 2025…..

    • I’m looking for a laptop, where can I find better pricing?

at your username. cashie ie cash converter… hehe

Yeah.. These aren't amazing prices. 8th gen stuff for north of 300? Pass!

      • and 8gb ram for 299…

  • B-grade? May get some unkind comments. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/897762

B-grade for this company, means the laptop is destroyed, unusable and plagued with issues.

Just wondering from where you got this?

If based on just the listing here, most of the laptops are graded as A.

You can get 10th/11th gen Intel laptops (business grade i.e. ThinkPads, Latitudes, etc.) for this price now, no reason to pay for a crap condition one from 7 years ago.

    • -3

How do you know their conditions are crap?

    • Where? I'm in the market for a similar priced laptop

Australian Computer Traders has a few Latitude 5410's (Intel 10th gen) around this price, UNtech eBay has BIOS locked R5 4650u Thinkpad X13 for ~250. Also saw a few listings for Latitude 5420 (11th gen) around this price from private sellers without warranty. Alternatively could wait for ACT to have 5420 with RAM upgrade for around this price as mentioned in the other comment.

Really feel like last couple of laptop deals haven’t really been good. Still feels overpriced for i5 8th gen and to top it off 8gb ram.

Last good laptop deal I remember was this one (a bit over one month ago).

Edit: To upgrade ram to 16gb it was an extra $20-30 as far as I can remember. So about $330 all up.

      Great to see your awareness.

FYI: The buyer was refunded but within return process he decided to keep the laptop charger for himself. No communication from him at all.

        Cringe

        • Confirming seller gave me refund.

  • We have these 5400 at work. They are pretty poor. They freeze and often just don’t work after software updates. Our company is looking to replaced them due to their poor feedback. I think they are ok for browsing the web and social media but if you use word and excel they are quite laggy. If they had 16gb of ram they would probably be ok.
