  • Just be aware. ZMI is independant company now and the title is misleading.

    • I did not know that, just copy pasting what is visible on Amazon’s listing page. Edited it, is it ok now?

      • Is cashback valid with Spin the Wheel credit? Cashback may not be valid mentioned here.

        • Ahh.. didnt read that particular comments.. 🫢

      • I dont know the full story behind this. I accidentally bought ZMI powerbank but not good as used to be. Then I learned, The original ZMI (Xiaomi affliate) is now called Cuktech and like others said still making best powerbank on the market. This ZMI powerbank is not the ZMI brand we are familiar with.

        • accidentally bought ZMI powerbank but not good as used to be

Did you buy the ZMI QB826G No.20? What do you mean not as good as used to be?

          • @deadpoet: Not quite the same model. The brand is "ZMI" but made by some other company (No longer Xiaomi affiliate), then I learned the original ZMI spinned off as Cuktech.

QB826G is always manufactured by ZMI.

  • ZMI have now become a independent company called cuktech, still making the best powerbank on the market.

  • I know that many times it has been posted on OzB that you can take this as carry on in a plane. My question is. How do I explain to airport staff or airline staff that this power bank does not exceed 100W when on the front of this power bank is printed in big letters, 210W.?

    • +1

      210W is 210 watts (output)
The 100W you are referring to is 100Wh, which is a way of describing the capacity
All my power banks have had their capacity in watt hours written on them somewhere.

Yes, airport staff are trained on this. It’s the Ah number they are looking for.

        • Well if it’s the Ah number they are looking for 25000Ah is a lot clearer printed on the front.

            @Chemex: That should be mAh…
250000Ah… well, you're not carrying that on board unless with a forklift. That amount of juice could probably power the entire plane.

      • Ok. Thank you for explaining that to me. The power bank does have 100Wh written in very small print on the side. I hope that satisfies airport/airline officials.

I took this on multiple international flights recently as carry-on (Emirates, RyanAir, Vueling). It went straight through security no questions asked every time. I did notice the tiny fine print one the side specifies it is not over the limit.

This power bank was amazing. Receives and distributes charge so much faster than anything I have ever used. I am sure it is slightly faster than even my premium wall chargers. Capacity is great. It can be charged from the wall and charge other devices simultaneously. Very highly recommended!

    • It also weighs more than half a kilogram, which is why I take a lower capacity unit when traveling carry-on only.

Been using my ZMI No. 10 since 2017, it's been a great power bank. The No. 20 looks like a beast and may be a dying breed, unfortunately, what with ZMI being spunoff and whatnot. Time to upgrade before it's too late. Thanks for the deal.

    • The No. 20 looks like a beast and may be a dying breed, unfortunately, what with ZMI being spunoff and whatnot.

some comments seem to suggest this No.20 is not the same positive feedback No.20 that was posted regularly a year ago.

tbh I don't understand it. only thing I understand is yes ZMI is now releasing products under CukTech brand with similar design and quality to ZMI products.

except one user commented on a past power bank deal that CukTech uses different poor quality batteries compared to ZMI No.20 which was known for using Samsung 21700. seriously don't know what's going on the simplest way of explaining would be "bait and switch".

I think I read Anker did a similar thing with the 13000mAh Powercore that I have. I bought it early because I needed it when someone opened it up and there was Panasonic batteries inside. then someone claimed they silently switched a battery to a no name with same coloured label. I didn't really see any proof of performance difference but mine is still working holding charge and capacity very well.
