Just dropped at 5pm.
Not an iphone user, just thought it might be good for someone thats after one.
It appears to require Telstra ID like the other deals.

Honest question. Do you live at home with Mum, just waiting to make the first comment on every post ?
I can see why you’re so disliked
waiting to make the first comment on every post ?
That is clearly not true. Prove it.

It always amuses me seeing people have a go at you before looking at your profile. JV is an OG you mongs.
You’re kidding right ?
You can add people to your blocked list. Works well
Just dropped at 5pm.
AppleCare may cover it… Worth asking.
That means AppleDoesn't care
AppleDoesn't care
That would make them careless…
Which ironically, is how this started…
Battery front: 7 megapixels photos, f/2.2 aperture mAh
What kind of battery life does that translate to?
About 15 centimetres
that's what she thought
She told me she thought you were using the mini.
Or 438mL
RAM: Unknown (here)

Apple never shows the ram info? also not on the iphone 16e. Is RAM not considered a main spec on iPhones?
If only this was 16E for $600 instead would've been much better
Probably will be in about 3 years :(
SE 3rd gen is now 3yo phone
Yep if it was $600 for a galaxy fold 4 instead it would’ve been much better
Can probably expect 16E to go down to 800ish. Its still in its Honeymoon phase. But given the recent sales on 16, 16Pros etc, it will drop soon as well.
Battery life is pretty bad. Make sure you have a power Bank with you all the time.
The third generation SE has much improved battery life
Thanks OP, paid $229 plus points for a 128G iPhone SE, not a bad deal.
Where in the rewards store does it allow you to apply the coupon?
Not in the rewards store, just click OP's link to the phone, choose the phone and add to your cart. After you add the phone to your cart, you will see the option of "Use Telstra Plus Points".
Thanks. I missed that part at the end.
This might or might not be a dealbreaker but it uses lightning cable (it does have wireless charging though)
what's the cheapest way to make Telstra ID?
Creating a Telstra ID is free.
You need to add the phone plus a plan (if you don’t have an existing) to create a Telstra ID
Also wondering the same, does a $2 sim do the job?
If you have/had a Boost Mobile account, use the same login for Telstra. Just tested it myself and it worked. Never had an account with Telstra directly.
Honestly not a good deal imo. The only lifting feature of the 3rd gen is that it has an e-sim, otherwise you can definetly get a better phone pre-owned iphone or new android thast better at this price point.
Not at this size unfortunately, and still supported
My gran needs a cheap iPhone. Any recommendation?
$300 Motorola with an iPhone OS skin.
This is probably what you’ve been waiting for
This or a used SE 2020
These would be locked to Telstra right? Can they be unlocked, and if so any idea how much this would cost?
80$
I don't think they would be Telstra locked? Network locking hasn't happened in a long time?
Any source you can point me to which cites this in writing?
https://www.telstra.com.au/support/mobiles-devices/unlock-ph…
scroll down to where it says what you need to pay
$80 for devices that have never been activated, or active for six months or less
$25 for devices activated for six months to two years.
@leasky: Hmm. This link seems to reference pre-paid phones specifically. Apparently the one in this listing is a post-paid phone and therefore unlocked according to unity1 below.
No. The have a prepaid version. This is the post paid, unlocked version.
Is this the prepaid version that's locked? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/871718
I have a friend with a Telstra account. Am I right in thinking that if they purchase this post paid SE on my behalf I could use it on my Optus MVNO without any issues?
Yes correct. They have different listings so that link is the prepaid version and only comes in 64GB. Coupon wouldn't even work with the prepaid version so there would be no way of accidentally ordering the wrong phone.
Yes, the one in this deal would be factory unlocked and compatible with all providers.
@unity1: Thanks for the info about this. I contacted Telstra via live chat and they confirmed this is indeed correct. I managed to get an order in via my friend's Telstra account.
where does it state post paid im trying to find that now
Up the top of the page it says: Mobile phones / Mobiles on a plan / Apple iPhone Plans.
No, it isn’t. This is the locked version: https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/prepaid-mobiles/iph…
It’s a very decent phone, have had the previous version for 5 years and would happily buy the same one if I wouldn’t want a camera upgrade. Always a big fan of the home button.
Anyone tried verifying id with passport ? I can't see Australia as a nationality. Get f*d Telstra 🫠
Looks like deal has expired
To buy your device outright, you need to add your device again and choose a plan.
Why this?
Thanks OP, got 1
Yes, looks expired. I get "Something went wrong. Please try again" when trying to add to cart.
The promo code is still working. Cracking price OP, thank you! Long live the home button.
Thanks. Got it as a spare. 240 bucks with points.
Just tested now, code is still working!
Great. Just ordered one from the link (have to log in afterwards) and got 124gb for $232 (with some points). Thanks OP.
OOS
Not showing for me. I must be stoopid
i have an Iphone X 100gb, how would a phone like this compare to the X? im looking to upgrade with the "best value" but want to stay with apple unless an offer is too good to refuse. I message and take selfies on snapchat for overseas family alot aswell and as far as im aware only apple phones and google phones use the direct camera to snap, and all other devices are like a screenshot of the photo and blurry?
Retailors don't need to tell "discontinued" products. Interesting.
no thanks
