Buy a New NRMA Business Insurance Policy, Receive $150 Virtual Visa Gift Card after 30 Days of First Payment @ NRMA Insurance

BUSINESS

First post, sorry if the formatting is incorrect!

Saw this when applying for some public liability insurance. If your premium is low (mine ended up being around $20 per month), could be a pretty good deal considering you only have to hold the policy for 30 days after your first payment. Just use the code 'BUSINESS' when you go to complete your quote.

Excludes Farm Insurance and Motor Trade Insurance

T&CS:

Eligible Recipients must meet all of the following entry requirements to qualify for participation in the Offer:
a. the Eligible Recipient must obtain a quote for a new Eligible Policy during the Offer Period

i. online at www.nrma.com.au and enter the Promo Code into the relevant field within the NRMA Insurance online quote flow; or

ii. over the phone and mention the Promo Code; or

iii. in-store at an NRMA branch or agency and mention Promo Code,

b. the Eligible Policy must be paid for on or before the Eligible Policy’s payment due date as stated on the Certificate of Insurance. Where the Eligible Policy is on a fortnightly, pay-by-the-month or quarterly basis, the first instalment (which, in some cases, will be equivalent to a double instalment) must be successfully paid in full on or before the Eligible Policy’s payment due date as stated on the Certificate of Insurance (in all cases, the “First Insurance Payment”);

c. the Eligible Policy must not be cancelled within 30 days from making the First Insurance Payment; and

d. the Eligible Recipient must provide a valid email address in connection with the purchase of an Eligible Policy (see paragraph 16 for further details),

  • It reads 45 days for me -
By using the applicable promo code and proceeding to purchase this policy, you agree to receive a one-off email to the email address outlined above about your $150 Virtual Visa Gift Card (if eligible) and to the offer terms and conditions. This email will not contain a functional unsubscribe facility. You will receive details about the Virtual Visa Gift Card (if eligible) via email from [email protected] within 45 days of making the first policy payment.

    • I think it means you'll receive the gift card within 45 days of the first payment. But the actual terms say the policy just has to be kept for 30 days post first payment

  • Could someone provide a list of policies with the lowest premium costs (e.g., $20 per month or less)? We can use that as a starting point.

    • I went with home business. ~$20/pm.

    • I took out a public liability policy as a sole trader (low risk profession aswell) which is costing me about $20 per month

  • Might be a good deal but just wait till you have to make a claim…truly awful, overseas call centre, incredibly long wait times to speak to anybody and months after you make a claim you'll probably still be battling them(currently in my third month of this battle for a liability claim)

    • Has OP or anyone already received the $150 Virtual Visa Gift Card, or is it possible, as Luc mentioned, that it’s "…truly awful" and you may never receive the $150 Virtual Visa Gift Card?

      • I haven't received it yet as I only took the policy out a few days ago, I'm not intending to make any claims (just needed the policy it as a client requirement) but given the t&c's are pretty clear re. eligibility i'm not too worried about them not sending the gift card, and if for some unknown reason they don't i'm only down $20

  • +1

keep getting baited by the images.

was expecting a nice looking free "Come in were open" sign that looks like a number plate. 😭

  • Thanks OP, seemed to go through smoothly. However I used a one off Zip disposable card for subscriptions so it took off the first amount of about $23. Would that still be ok to qualify for the gift card?

  • Has OP or anyone already received the $150 Virtual Visa Gift Card, or is it possible, as Luc mentioned, that it’s "…truly awful" and you may never receive the $150 Virtual Visa Gift Card?

    • Just received mine (30/06)

  • Got it. Thanks Op.
Now, how do we cancel the policy?

    • +2

Can do it via live chat on their website, only takes a few minutes iirc, don't even need your policy number just name etc

  • Confirmed that easy to cancel via chat.
