  • 75Hz, 14ms response time, not a gaming monitor

I don’t think most people would expect it to be at this low price point, size and spec (IPS, 65w charger, etc).

    Don't buy anything KOGAN branded.

    • Why not?

    • My Kogan monitors going ok after about 10 years
Also found Kogan have good after sales support whenever there's been a problem with other items

      What problems did you have?

    • Have a kogan 34" flat ips going for a good 3 years now. No issues, no complaints.

Was actually looking at getting this monitor but gpu prices so not right now.

  • +2

ok price, but I’m not sure I want to stare at a Kogan logo every day.

Debadge it. Given it is kogan you can probably just do it with a hairdryer and dental floss lol

      • The badge is tiny in the bottom left corner.

I honestly didn't notice it until just now until I looked for it.

You can get the LG equivalent with the same panel for 3x the price if it bothers you that much

I had 2 lg monitors and 1 tv. All rubbish and broken

        • I got negged because I had a Terrible experience with lg? 😆

    • Been happy with my Kogan monitors but did need to put tape over the logo

I have one, and was a bit hesitant (because kogan …)

Turns out it's actually not bad. Mine had zero dead or stuck pixels.

For less than 1/3rd the cost of the LG or Dell equivalent, I have no regrets so far (had it 6 months or so). You do get much better refresh with the Dell though.

Funnily. My mate bought the 38inch model with 144hz or whatevr it is.. But I had just bought and LG from jaycar for 499. VA 160hz. For work so I didn't care for smearing issues.

I ended up with a dead pixel and his was perfect. Funny that lol. And his was ips and all. And higher res for only 100 more. Kicking myself but was too lazy to try swap /refund blah blah because LG requires x amount of dead pixels…

Anyone know the curvature of this monitor?

    • It's in the description: 2500R (a very low amount of curve).

Coming from a 34" 3440x1440 with 1500R, that was the one adjustment that I didn't prefer (otherwise, a massive upgrade!).

Upgraded from Dual 27" 4K Monitors – No Regrets!

I replaced two 27" Dell 4K monitors with this single monitor, and I’m glad I did. The USB-C connection charges my laptop and handles the display, keeping my setup clutter-free. The monitor itself is excellent for work: crisp, clear, and easy on the eyes. Highly recommend for anyone looking to simplify their workspace without compromising on quality.
Don't need a dock as the monitor provides a couple of USB ports too. Best bang for buck….

    • Can you plug in an ethernet to USB plug into one of the USB ports?

I've had this exact monitor for about a year with no regrets, I made a short youtube video unboxing it and quickly reviewing it for those who are interested. It is excellent value at this price, especially since it can do type c and potentially save you the cost of a dock.

One thing to note, the vesa mount on this thing is out of spec in two ways.
    * The opening is 2mm to short to fit 100x100 vesa mount, you will need to use 10mm spacers.
    * The screw threading in the monitor is about half the vesa standard screws

There is no shortage of kogan things about this monitor, but I would still buy it again at this price in a heart beat.

Just FYI, it now comes with appropriate spacers for VESA mounting. (It may not have come with spacers on the first batch, but by the time I got mine, which was probably second batch, it came with the spacers.)

  • think the Kogan Infinity 49" Curved Ultrawide QD-OLED Dual QHD 5K 144Hz 0.03ms USB-C Gaming Monitor (5120 x 1440) would be any good ? https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-49-curved-ultrawide-qd-ol…

Having owned two Kogan ultrawides, I would say they offer great value for money (when discounted). You're getting probably B-grade panels, that might have some defects / probably wont perform as well as the name brand equivalents. The specs may be lower / older genetation panel. And the interface will be atrocious in comparison.

But you're also getting it for a fraction of the price - and those tradeoffs may be something you are happy to live with for the price (especially if the format / size is just not realistically in your budget).

I havent used mine for gaming - so cant comment on how well they stack up in that regard. But for productivity use, I love mine! (Previously 34" 3440x1440, now 40" 5K2K.)

If you are the sort of person that can justify "the real thing", you probably should just be buying the brand name version and avoiding the Kogan, because you probably appreciate the performance improvement.

  • Has anyone tried overclocking this monitor?
I read online that it's generally a bad idea and just to buy a higher Hz monitor if you want quicker refresh rates.

  • Just checked. This is not expired.

    • Doesn't ship till end of June
