Fundamentally, a discount describes the amount you save in respect to the value of the product.
If we use this recent Ultimate gift card deal as an example, you would have received a 10% discount on the purchase price of selected Ultimate gift cards. No.
Myer lists the redemption of a Myer gift card (or Coles Group & Myer gift card, for that matter) as something that will invalidate cashback via TopCashback, Cashrewards, etc (and Myer actually enforces this). However, that may not be such a bad thing if you were going to purchase an item that is ineligible for cashback anyway (e.g. Aesop, Dior, Hermes, CHANEL).
