Logitech G110 $40 Gaming Keyboard (Officeworks)

780

I missed out on the recent Ozbargain deal that Dick Smith Electronics had on this gaming keyboard, selling for $40. The DSE website show them to have no stock available now (in VIC at least), and after calling a store, they said they were no longer planning on stocking the item.

Lo and behold, now Officeworks are selling the G110 for $40. From a comment in the previous DSE bargain, price has dropped from $69.

I think you could go to DSE and price match OW, saving 5%.

I posted this on Wednesday in the sidewinder x6 thread, I picked one up from DSE and its great. OW changed their price same day though so no price match there.

i think OW are pretty clued up on this sort of stuff. It appears they change the prices every morning to stop people price-matching. It's also quite apparent HR frequents this site (i've found out from personal experience too)

  • nice now need new mouse

this is the same price at dse atm, but still the cheapest price around

While I haven't used the g9x myself so I can't judge it, I've used the Gigabyte M8000X for about a year now and it's been really great. It has a really nice DPI and overall quality is great. I paid only $60 for it as well, so unless that g9x is on sale somewhere, I would suggest the m8000x also :)

On second inspection, I can't find a price that is $59 (what I paid). PCCG lists it as $55 for pre-order, shipping could be a killer though. Up to whoever is buying the mouse, really :P

Edit: A few sites offer it for about $55-60, not sure on shipping on all of them (some are hard to find quotes for without logging in to check out, sorry). Eg. Mwave have it for $56, $12 reg delivery or free sydney pickup. Worth trying multiple places to see if they are local for free pickup.

    • OR if you prefer a normal shaped mouse: http://www.logitechshop.com.au/logitech-optical-gaming-mouse…

I have the MX518, which is the previous model, and it's an amazing mouse.

  • you can even price match with Razer's Blackwidow Keyboard too at OW if you show them the selling price at EBGames, which costs just 98AUD, someone posts it on OZbargain please as i am asleep at this moment, good night ;)

Good keyboard! Got one from the previous bargain. Took me a few days to get used to it, but now im mostly fine. Occasionally without thinking hit the G keys when trying for ctrl or the escape key.. Minor nuisance but gets better as you use it more!

    • +1

Yeh, that was the hardest transition for me too when I got it for $65 half a year ago. After that all other keyboards will be weird to use ;)

      • +1

i play the keyboard googly and in game the left ctrl is sprint. for the first couple of days i couldn't runaway quick enough. had to shift my nagual to the right just to get away.

the media keys, volume scroll and headset points are a plus. and a good price.

+1 for other keyboard being weird. Tried to use another computer. Didnt know what was going on!

  • Thank you just bought one.. Also missed out on previous deal!

Solid keyboard. Well worth the price.

I'm thinking of buying this as a gaming keyboard but am not sure if I should just save up the extra for a mechanical. It does have any anti-ghosting or NKRO etc AFAIK. However do you think it will be manageable without all that in this keyboard?

    • I'm with you on that one considering buying the steel series mechanical keyboard, But then saw this deal.. hmmm

    • I'm using it for gaming. It's great and does have anti-ghosting on the left side.

    • I don't think it does AFAIK but it does do AFK.

    • I haven't ever had an issue with the G105, which is pretty much a more basic version.

  • Is this better than a razor lycosa? Thinking if it's worth upgrading.

  • Any experiences on using this as a non-gaming keyboard?

    • It's a good all rounder

    • I've been using a Microsoft 400 up to now. G110 keys feel a bit 'heavier' and more solid to press down. Otherwise, operates as normal. As others have said, you'll have to adjust to the macro keys taking up the left side.

  • EDIT: nvm

  • shelf is overstocked at north ryde 37 Epping Road

6 were on display, took 1.

heard calls over the loudspeaker to "teach dept" too probably asking about the KB

    • I went to the west ryde store, none left. Staff said none at north ryde either…

  • Love the product details on the site -

    USB enabled

  • Wish Credit Card survived Christmas 4 this…
    G105 green lights & G15 Orange lights both sic…
    go the G10 Blue…lol

    P.S. G9X mouse is good, but I have not fully tested myself… wide body fixed my RSI…Battlefield 3 & Diablo 3 ;)
However, I have switched back to my Steelseries Sensei for gaming (software enhancements?)…Battle ON !!!

    • G110 has blue, purple, magenta and red. You need to install the software first though.

  • I'm after a cheap gaming mouse if anyone can help. Not an MMO mouse if possible as I don't want the wife to know I've gone full nerd yet. Like the MW t-shirt never already gave me away.

Thanks OP. There was about 4 in stock in Tuggeranong ACT for anyone interested (one hour ago).

    • Cheers for that, Might go have a look.

    • Just picked one up from OW Tugg and there is one left on the shelf now.

    • I think I picked up the last one at Belconnen today. The OW home page said to call the Fyshwick and Tuggeranong shops to check stocks.

Very happy, as I missed out on the Dick Smith sale a couple of weeks ago. Now it'll match my G400 I picked up when Dick Smith were selling it for $25.

  • Just got one from OW Keswick (SA). Still 5 on the shelf. OW took the price tag off the shelf completely, i just grabbed one and went to checkout though and it was $40.

  • Just picked this up. It seems fairly good quality for the price. I am loving the lit up keys!

  • Great keyboard. ..got one from OW for $45 last year during Logitech shop's sale.

  • Just grabbed one for myself and the better half. About time I changed my keyboard..

  • Bought the last one at the Hawthorn VIC store.

  • Anyone find anything else worthwhile to get the total over $15 so we can get free shipping?

  • They jacked the price up to $69 today.
