Express is better than this, I bought Pro and my friend bought express, mine died. It sucked air and there is a water flow meter which got screwed 😂 Don't bet on this one, buy the lower end, express. He's using it for 3 to 4 years now and mine last only maybe 2.
3+ years and 14k+ coffees later my Pro is still running strong. Hasn't missed a beat.
I killed it, if you remove the tank and press the shot, it sucks air. It's still a solid machine.
I found express better in shot consistency.
If I remove the tank it starts beeping and flashing FILL TANK on the screen because it thinks it's run out of water.
Yours didn't do that? or did you remove the tank while it was making the coffee?

Yeah I’ve had my Barista Pro for 6 years and hasn’t skipped a beat making 5 coffees a day
2.5 years at about 7 cups a day and my Pro is going great. I did make the mistake of it sucking air accidentally pressed button without tank on, but I put tank on and it worked fine afterwards and ever since.
Mine had the same issue. You can remove the flow meter and add water in to remove the air. It's been going fine since then.
There are videos on YouTube explaining how it's done.Please share, I have not junked it yet. I can try. I have moved to BDB ever since.
