i dont know about you, but i store my "work files" on a NAS… which is running out of space and I need to get more terabytes.

But 16 is plenty for a laptop. Are you planning on running a bunch of virtual machines on it?

Seems a bit pricy considering 10th gen is almost the same as 8th. I guess they count on people not knowing.
We have some good deals on 11th gen recently.

    • Used laptops are a rort. 8th gen stuff should be south of 150 and 10th gen south of 300. But I guess people are paying it for them to be consistently expensive.

What do you mean by "should be"? I'm just going by market prices, supply and demand.

Back in the days when computer power doubled every 18 months, I'd only buy new, and every generation brought new functionality. But that has long gone. A 10-year old i5-6XXX still performs very well, given a RAM upgrade and replacing the HDD with SSD. OK, I would not buy one now, but I'm not bothering to replace them just yet.
The above laptops are great machines. It is just a question of market price.

    would be a deal if it's $250 :D not $520 :p

  • Does anyone know if the battery is new or not?
