Sure its ATL for the last 5 years. $261 after $88 off and most OZB would have Everday Extra which bring it down to $234.90 (you have to ask why are you here if you don't have it). I have access to GU Benefit which takes another 4% off by getting discounted BIG W gift card.

My Bambino Plus just broke and the cheapest I saw was $431 at JB perks few days ago (using discounted GC). It isn't too bad consider it was about $380 three years ago. But after looking at reviews again, I find it hard to swallow a basic coffee machine for $400+ again when this one is almost half the price.

This is a good video compare the three basic model from Breville.

  • That's a really good price, think even cheaper than what I bought it for.

Perfectly decent machine, hard to go wrong for close to 200 bucks

  • Is the Big W 10% off being removed from Woolworths extras as of 1 June?

    • REALLY….. Source?

or we can tell in two days……

      • You can search it up on they’re rewards site they’re removing it for big w

We're writing to let you know that, unfortunately, from Sunday, 1 June 2025, the BIG W monthly 10% off discount will no longer be part of the Everyday Extra benefits.

You'll continue to enjoy these savings and benefits with Everyday Extra:

10% off one shop every month at Woolworths, in store or online.*

2x Everyday Rewards points on every shop at Woolworths and BIG W, in store and online.°

Extra Perks like freebies and promotions from time to time, as well as new subscriber-only deals from BIG W and other partners.

        • That sucks….

Guess they are losing money on discounted electrical like this deal.

TBH thats the only times I used the BIG W code.

Comparing this to Bambino Plus via AI

    Which one is for you?

Choose the Breville Duo-Temp Pro if:

You prefer a more manual, hands-on approach to frothing milk and want to develop your barista skills.
You value a potentially more robust build and a dedicated hot water spout.
You don't mind a slightly longer heat-up time (though still under 5 minutes).
Choose the Breville Bambino Plus if:

Speed and convenience are top priorities, especially for milk-based drinks.
You want excellent automatic milk frothing without the learning curve of a manual wand.
    You have limited counter space.
You appreciate features like the 3-way solenoid for cleaner pucks.

    — I think the bambino plus still has a place for many

Keep in mind, with the Duo-Temp Pro, you can't start a shot then walk away to do something else. You have to watch it and stop the shot (turn the dial back) when you think it's finished.

Great tip. Sounds like bambino plus is the way, like AI says, unless you want to become a barista pro.

From someone who change manual to Bambino Plus. I can tell you the time you save while making coffee and milk is very little (under 120sec). I think the only thing I will miss the instant start up and instant switching between brew and steam. I am ok with that if I save $200.

      • How long does it take to switch between brew and steam on Duo-Temp?

        • +2

From the look of demo on YT, about 20 sec

Ahh yes AI, the thing that is famously often wrong about even basic things

That's why we post it for humans to comment too :) thanks for your valuable contribution!

    • Heat up time has been quick on my Duo Temp Pro. 2 minutes tops from dead cold start. Then much faster when using thereafter on same day.

  • Or wait for upsized cashback on Everyday Market.

    • For an upsize cashback and discount to happen in BIG W for electricals is almost impossible. Also you cant get cash back if using gift card.

  • Any good Grinder to go with this?

    • DF54

  • Why are you assuming most users have Everyday Extra? Was there a freebie recently?

    • There was several times it was at half price $35. Its a no brainer.

Now they have taken the BIG W code away, I have to think twice next time I renew…..

      • I see. Thanks

  • Thanks, I've been looking around for a suitable manual coffee machine for a while now. This price makes it worth finally trying it out. Ended up getting a Big W gift card with a 5% discount through RACQ membership to bring total price down to $223.16. One was at my local store, so hopefully get to collect it tomorrow and try it out, very keen.
