Appears to be live now, I get a Your order qualifies! 1 items from this promotion in your cart : $100.00 banner on the deal page if I have the GC in my cart.

I did not enter the code.

It also says From 01 Jun. 2025 to 08 Jun. 2025 on the deal page as opposed to the T&Cs.

    • Same here. Ordered and have email confirmation for promo credit just then

    • +1

      Same here.

It's a bit confusing as previous offers like this displayed something on the checkout page that the order qualified, but this time it does not. I had to go back to the deal page to see that my order qualified.

  • +6

I bought $100 worth of gift cards and got the promo credit already.

    • Not surprised, same thing happened with the Mother's Day promo.

  • I did not get that at all and could not enter the code anywhere … I think these are premised on a number of people nit being able to comply with their instructions

    • +2

you don't need to enter the code, you never do with Amazon. Just click the link at it automatically adds the code to your order, even if you can't see it.

  • Live now, have also received the credit.

  • confirmed it's working right now as others have say

  • It’s not letting me add the promo code at checkout

    • +2

same, I just paid instead and two emails came, one with 100 and one with 5

      • +1

Link to promo means it's already applied and doesn't let you enter code again. It's a long time bahaviour that's annoying.

    • same

      • weird

didnt apply code, ordered 1 x 100 and received email with the 5 bonus

        • Was there anything on the checkout page that confirmed you'd receive the $5 bonus?

  • Ordered and got credit today

  • I got an email saying "Your order has earned you a promotional credit which we have added to your account. This credit will be automatically applied to your next eligible order."

However there is no $5 added to my gift card balance and the $5 does not show up at checkout. Where are people finding this $5 credit ?

    • +1

when checking out, Promo credit will apply automatically. Item has to be probably shipped by Amazon.

      • Here we go with the fine print lol, i've just placed two orders with free Prime shipping but neither of them qualify for this $5 credit.

        • +3

Has to be SOLD and SHIPPED by Amazon AU.

      • Item has to be probably shipped by Amazon.

        And sold by Amazon

    • This credit will be automatically applied to your next eligible order

Usually this means sold and shipped by Amazon

      • Hmm I'm getting Darth Vader changing the deal after the fact vibes here, "$5 bonus credit can only be used on items both sold and shipped by Amazon AU" would seem to fairly significant detail omitted from this deal.

        • Just buy TP from Amazon

    • It doesn't show up in your balance. It will be deducted automatically (usually when you buy a qualifying item from Amazon au)

  • Ordered and got credit too, all under 5 mins. Thanks.

  • How about adding "A qualifying purchase is an item that is both sold and shipped by Amazon AU" to the deal information please ?

You are not getting a $5 Amazon gift card which is what I thought I was getting here.

    • +2

      Added.

Promo Credit is in the title and it has always worked the same way, but I get where you're coming from.

  • +1

The promotional code you entered cannot be
    applied to your purchase.

    Doesn't work.

    • You don't need the code. It works already without it.

  • Thanks for purchasing $100 or more of eligible Amazon.com.au Gift Cards. In accordance with the promotional terms, we have now automatically applied a $5 promotional credit to your account which will automatically be applied to your next purchase of eligible item(s) shipped and sold by Amazon AU.

  • Is there restriction on how many giftcards can be ordered please?

  • -1

    Less than 10%? No thanks.
    Restricted usage? No thanks.

    • -1

Agreed, you can get more on cashback deals.

Easy enough to ignore it and move on :).

      • -1

It's the people who take up offers like this that ruin it for the rest of us.

  • Are you able to claim $5 credit multiple time through separate $100 gift card purchases or only once per account?

    • +1

It says 2000 orders instead of customers so should be fine.

Add to cart and make sure you get a Your order qualifies! 1 items from this promotion in your cart : $100.00 banner when on the deal page.

      • +3

Looks like not. On the gift card page it shows the promo, but not at check-out. For my first order it did show at check-out.

I also tried to add the GCMYS5 promo code and get "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

So no second card for me. I assume it is 1 time per account.

        • +1

What did it say in checkout the first time?

I haven't bought yet and I'm not seeing anything. I also get "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

    • Page is up, one per customer.

  • Can I buy more than one time to get $5 promotional credit again?

  • Your order has earned you a promotional credit which we have added to your account. This credit will be automatically applied to your next eligible order.

Additional information on this offer can be found here.

Thanks for purchasing $100 or more of eligible Amazon.com.au Gift Cards. In accordance with the promotional terms, we have now automatically applied a $5 promotional credit to your account which will automatically be applied to your next purchase of eligible item(s) shipped and sold by Amazon AU.

This credit will expire on 31 July 2026

  • In previous Topcashback conditions: "Cashback is ineligible if using any Amazon credit as partial or full payment."

    • Not just TCB. Other cashback providers have the same clause as well.

  • Hmm I bought 2x $50 in one transaction, it showed eligible on the GC page but I didn't receive e-mail confirming the credit.

  • Has the deal gone active early? The banner seems to indicate that the promotion is active and even mentions 01 June as the start date instead of 02 June as in the T&C.

  • Can you purchase other gift cards using an Amazon account balance?

  • +3

Bought a $120 Gc and buddle it with CBA yellow
    $5 from Amazon (✅)
    $10 from CBA (🤞)

  • +2

    Doesn't work - GCMYS5

    • Same

    • +1

You are right. But it doesnt matter as long as you use the URL

    • All good if you’re ordering the GC via the link.
I bought a $100 GC and also got an error after inputting the GCMYS5 code. Went ahead as the GC page said my order was eligible for the $5 promotional credit.

Got the $5 credit email the same time I received the $100 GC.

Getting less and less not even 10% soon they will pay you $1 bonus ppl will still upvote

  • +4

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • +1

      same

    • same

      • Update:
        No need to enter code.
Gift card and promo credit arrived within a minute of payment.

        • How do you know beforehand that you are still the first 2000?

  • In my cart it's showing as 100$.

    • that's normal, this is an extra credit deal, not a discount

  • Worked. No need to apply code just click on the link and buy $100. email confirmation within 1 min

  • +1

I also get "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase." but the promotional $5 email still came through

  • What's the reason this deal is upvoted so highly?
You can get better returns stacking discounted gift cards with cashback.

    • Most Cashback specifically excludes payment with GC, so it’s nearly always one or the other not both

  • So I got this and was expecting "credit" to show up on my Balance. Mistakenly contacted customer service and they corrected my understanding, but also gave me $5 promo credit. So ended up with eligible items promo credit -$10.00 on check out :D
