Can we get a Mod to merge these please.

      CAPS!

      • +48

Can we get a mod to decap this please?

    • Use the report option instead.

      • Y'all missed the joke. Was having a go at Bargainaholic for unnecessary use of caps

        • +4

I still win the thread right?

        • Sorry I should've been specific, my question was in relation to the 32GB Lexar JumpDrive S73 USB 3.0 Flash Drive - $23

  • Just bought a Verbatim 16GB USB 3 Flash Drive. Do you get a random colour?

    • Yes we just have limited stock left so they will be randomly allocated.

        • +6

Unfortunately not, that would go well under our cost.

        • No problem …

      • +1

Theyre not all hot pink are they? I'd want a refund if it was.

        • No I think they are mainly green and grey iirc.

        • Out of all the colours, I got the pink one….

Still sitting on my table, don't want to use or open it

        • I'd do tough black tape around it

        • there's always Sharpie or Posca markers for the colours you don't like.

  • Hi, do you plan on doing any deals on the black edition of GoPro? I'm pretty keen on the silver edition you have on special but if there is to be a deal on the black edition I may hold off.

    • The pricing is not good enough yet unfortunately. We can get them down to around $435 but from what we can see other vendors are doing them at the same price. Correct me if I am wrong though.

      • $435 is acceptable for black edition, if people fly out of the country in 30 days (i mean myself). however, the problem with gopro 3 is that it has too many problems.

        • +2

These will be drop shipped so no GST invoice for TRS.

  • Hi Rep, just wondering, for this HGST 500GB 2.5in 7mm Hard Drive, what is the standard 2.5 thickness? is this hdd specially made for ultrabook? thanks

    • It is 7mm standard is 9mm. The 7mm drives will fit in a normal machine though.

  • sold out when i checked out, AGAIN…. :(

  • Verbatim 16GB USB 3 Flash Drive - $9 sold out in 20mins since hero bought it ? not happy …
Edit: please change title or its gonna be a dupe !

    • Waiting for mod to merge the posts.

Also we emailed this out to our mailing list about 3 hours ago.

      • This post will remain as most of the discussion and votes are on here.

        • Thanks for looking into it.

  • +3

Almost bought another 16gb USB but stopped myself cause it was an impulse buy, you almost had me again flingshot ;)

Damn you Ozbargain and your cheap stuff :P

    • I had to stop myself as well!

      • I couldn't stop and purchased one. I think I should stop looking at Ozbargain.

  • Verbatim 16GB USB 3 Flash Drive sold out after check in?……… You should mention
    Sold out before check in.

  • +2

I just bought my fitbit zip from domayne Auburn last week for $50.
Ask for Ryan in the computers department,

also offered $105 for the fitbit one.

  • Verbatim 16GB USB 3 is sold out when you reach the check out page…

Also, 6 month ANNIVERSARY? Didn't know an anniversary was 6 months ಠ_ಠ

    • A 6 month anniversary is a thing ;) Just use your good friend google.

  • Yeah sold out during checkout in stock on main page :(

    • +1

Most likely someone trying to pay. Once you get to a certain point the stock is locked.

  • 16GB sold out already? A bit quick, didn't have many? That kills that one too.

    • As mentioned above we released these deals about 3 hours earlier to our mailing list. For sales like this we usually send them out beforehand so best bet is to put your email in and you will be notified.

  • It intermittently became available on the checkout page (quantity 1) was able to complete checkout.

  • Rep, any chance for a Synology DS1512+ NAS + WD Red deal? The DS1512+ standalone price is more expensive than, say, PC Case Gear (although I note your price includes shipping).

    • We have a deal with 5 3TB RED drives, which drives were you looking for?

Also in regards to pricing we are $5 cheaper, and if you specify a business we ship overnight express, rather than eparcel which can be slow.

      • Bummer, I need to be quicker, the DS1512+ has sold out. Do you know when you'll get more stock? And do you have an indicative price for the RAM upgrade?

      • Can you clarify what the deal on the "5 3TB RED" drives is, as I couldn't see anything on the site and I'm tonguing for a decent deal on 3tb REDs to help me populate my NAS?

Also, as others have noted, kudos on being OB's most responsive rep!

        • +1

The WD RED offer was refering to the populated NAS. When we ship the NAS with the drives installed it saves on shipping charges we can then pass that savings on to the customer.

We are working on another Synology & WD RED deal should have confirmation soon, also waiting for stock to actually be available for sale ;)

        • Any update on when the deal on 3TB WD REDs will start?

  • +3

WTF??? You are using peoples +ve comments on a different sale on this drive? This is a different drive with a different price. You shouldn't be using peoples votes from a different product

    • +1

      i totally agree.

    • We are actually waiting for a mod to merge the two posts. Once product is sold out the rest are still available.

      • +1

You should just put sold out and start or used the other thread. People have given you +ve votes on Verbatim 16GB USB 3 Flash Drive - $9.
Changing the title to something completely different just to use people's votes is not fair.

        • +5

We can't start another thread. 24h limit. We can't change the other title as we didn't post it. Until a mod comes and merges them this was the best solution we had…

EDIT: Also I might point out that when the Verbatim drive sold out and we changed the title there were around 15+ now we are at 25+ so I think it is a bit academic at this point.

        • -8

          Correct. Please read the guidelines
          Too many deals

          Store representative posting limits:

          • 1 deal per 24 hours
          • 2 deals per 7 days - provided the votes on past deal are not too low. This can be reduced to 1 deal per 7 days if past votes are low.
          • If the past 2 rep posts for the domain made the front page (20+ votes), the representative is allowed an extra post per week, making it 3 deals per 7 days.

          See posting limits for details.

Changing your title to overcome these rules is not Etiquette

        • +10

But it is technically still the same sale, just an updated listing of the products available, all instead of one.

If we are all going to be assholes about such technicalities, then rep's won't post their deals here at all, Flingshot has been good to us OZBers:

          http://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/flingshot.com.au

        • Store representative posting limits:

Just to clarify - each post can contain multiple deals as long as it is not over the top. The rep has not exceeded posting limits.

        • +6

Just to be clear this is "one deal" there are 20 products available in the sale. We can't post 20 deals so we put them all into one deal. If one item is sold out and all others are available are we supposed to just shut down the whole deal?

Your assumption was that every one of those 15+ votes was for the verbatim. Based on our sell through of the other items in the sale after we posted it a significant number of them were for other items especially the lexar.

        • +1

          well said, for shaw!

        • +1

Someone people have waaaay to much time on their hands

        • +1

Apologies, I thought I read you had 15 of the Verbatim when you posted this deal. My mistake.

        • All good, I can usually barely keep up with these threads, and it's my job - a significantly large part of it at least ;) - can't expect everyone to read every single comment on here.

        • +1

          JV does….

  • When will we see the Logitech Ultrathin keyboard back in business? :)

    • We are working on getting more stock at the moment, hopefully in the next week or so.

  • +1

Just got a 32Gb Lexar JumpDrive with a coupon I won in one of your quizzes. Thanks very much rep.

    • Haha just saw that, I thought someone had found one of those sneaky $0 products again ;)

      • Ordered my jumpdrive with coupon of your quiz. :D

  • The Verbatim 16GB USB 3 Flash Drive only has a max write speed of 10MB/s ??

Isn't that USB 2 speeds? If that's the max speed, will the average speed be around 6-7 MB/s ?

  • -3

A bit cheeky titling it 16BG Verbnatim @ $9 when you know you have only 15 left and they were gone within an hour, as would be expected. Disingenuous is one word that comes to mind.

    • +7

Actually we sold over 200 from when we sent the email out and ~100 from when the deal was posted. This was what was left from the 2k when we posted the original deal. Unfortunately the price has gone up since then hence the limited stock.

      • +2

This was supposed to go here. *** Apologies, I thought I read you had 15 of the Verbatim when you posted this deal. My mistake.

        • All good, see above comment.

    • +3

A bit cheeky making things up MarkB4 (stock levels)
Disingenuous is one word that comes to mind.

  • Ordered a Lexar! Thanks.

  • quick question
can I place the lexar on a keyring?
    cheers

    • +1

They come with a little lanyard loop and string yeah.

  • Is there any modem router bargain?

Or are you planning to do so in the future?

    • Any preference for brands etc?

      • A friend is looking for a Netgear D6300

        • We are working on Netgear at the moment.

    • +8

I have had several good order experiences with flingshot, as has a mate, so I would appreciate it if you could provide some evidence of this claim.

    • +12

As we have explained multiple times when we have posted OEM drives, some of them come out of brand new machines which we have upgraded. I also explained this to you over email and offered to refund the drive and pay for return shipping at our expense.

It should also be noted that we went out of our way to provide this drive for you after they had sold out as we had a few left since you took the time to email us, and at the time seemed pretty reasonable.

As a final note these drives did not come from upgraded machines, they were purchased brand new from our supplier of HGST, hence us not mentioning that in this deal.

      • -3

I think if you take your HDD out of a laptop and reformat it that does not make it an OEM product, Even if the laptop was brand new. The hard drive would have data written all over if and even a format does not make it back into a brand new 'OEM" product.

        • +10

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. In the case discussed above, Samsung is actually the OEM as they are from Samsung Ultrabooks. These drives are shipped from the factory with an image loaded. We simply format them and ship them out. They have never been sold to an end user. It is exactly the same as when we take a brand new 240GB SSD and load an image onto it and install it into a machine, would you say that drive has been used? Obviously not. But again we have disclosed this information whenever we posted one of these deals which has been rarely, and people have the choice whether they want to buy the drive and save money or pay more for a retail drive.

And just to reiterate again, the HGST drives in this deal came directly from our supplier.

        • +3

LOL cardz, it will still be an OEM product in 5 years no matter how used it is!

  • Keep one of those 32gb usb3s for me please FS, I'll get to it when I get home :)

  • +1

    Any deals on ds1812?

    • I'd be interested in this one too… ;)

      • +1

Very little stock available right now unfortunately. We are working with our supplier to do another large Synology and WD sale in the near future though.

  • Any chance of a deal on some 32GB or bigger micro SDHC cards that are fast enough for digital cameras/GoPros? eg Class 10.

    • We are working on a sandisk deal in the next few weeks, so you will probably find something in there.

  • How do we choose colour? I want to buy 2x 32gb lexar usb3's

    • +1

      Colours are fixed unfortunately.

  • +1

Some deals on 15" laptop. I m eagerly waiting.

    • I think you may have already told me, but what sort of spec/price were you looking for?

We have the np900 in this sale which is a 15in, but obviously a higher end model.

      • +1

Yep I told you already. But I must say that you are the best rep out here among all who post deals for their company. You replied all of us with patience.

I m looking for 3rd gen i5/i7/AMD A10 with min 4 GB RAM, win7, around 2.2-2.5kg and some sad if possible. Price range around 650$.
