      4G backup

  • Will this work with an existing modem ?

It should, provided it's compatible with Telstra NBN.

  • Any idea what time they churn when you set a date in the future? Is it in the middle of the night usually?

    • Not sure how efficient Telstra is, but for Optus I think got connected early in the morning of activation date (business day, not weekend though).

I think generally it's suggested to port the day before your cycle ends for a smooth transition.

    • I chose July 1st and they didn't even connect me today. Says 'your order is delayed'.

      • my order for June 29 was done at about 12.20am (on June 29)

        • Mine changed over about 12.10am with Telstra e-mail confirming connection 6.20am.

On the side, I also received a call from JB to go collect $100 gift card as the connection is completed!

  • I did sign up to Telstra NBN via the priority assist team because I have priority assist for a medical condition that on the list and it for home phone but because the home phone is via the modem if internet down the home phone goes down as well and it got to be done and working in with 24 hours unless it is out of there control and the nbn plan from Telstra the order got done on my autopay day so my first month is free then I got $1 on the second month then $139.

I also have a iPhone 16 plus(38.85) and $80 plan on Telstra(first month was only the device) will not touch Optus and Vodafone.

Plus I have Fetch TV a mighty box via Telstra as well.

I have a bigpond email and no it not my main email at all
