    Wtf is this 💀

  • +35

15 bucks for some shite from some grinning sociopath is not a bargain.

  • +10

    People buy such crap?

    • -1

People have bought figures for decades, dude. I asked my parents for TMNT figures, Star Wars, etc. I assume many others here did too.

My son likes watching Mr Beast and will be pretty happy about getting a toy that he's wanted one for a while now. At 60% to 70% off regular price, I can't complain - that's a "bargain" to me.

I really don't understand all the whining here, particularly those who voted negative seemingly based on a brand name - what's next, downvoting a $300 PS5 because someone dislikes Sony? Have these people not seen a Mr Beast toy before? They're not new. Wait til you see there's also toys for Lankybox, Ryan's World (also a movie and video game), Aphmau and other youtubers, many of which, like Mr Beast, are available in Target/Kmart/BigW etc.

    🚮

  • Not sure whether I want to collect it. I will leave it for those want to.

  • +7

Don’t be stupid, There’s better ways to spend $15.

    • -2

Why is this not a bargain? It's selling for $30 at Target, down from $39

      https://www.target.com.au/p/mrbeast-lab-collector-figure-tig…

My kid has wanted one of these for a while - at $15 I didn't hesitate.

Any recommendations on what to spend $15 on to not make me stupid?

      • -5

If your kid wants toys like this, safe to assume you let him watch brain rot materials like mrbeast & the likes. You’re his enabler.

        Mate, You’ve failed your kid.

        • You have no idea about me or my kid, sir.

It's a toy FFS. He's 5 years old. Still at Kinder. He doesn't need to know much about anything just yet, other than having fun.

What should he watch? PBS Space Time? Please mister super-parent, how do I give my kid a better life?

What if I told you he likes watching CrunchLabs, and is asking for a CrunchLabs build box for Christmas? Is that acceptable or a fail? $200 for 3 boxes is the minimum. Buy it? or am I stupid?

Oh yeah, we don't spend all our time watching Mr Beast & the likes

His absolute favourite show though, is Bluey - I've bought him Bluey toys and other Bluey branded stuff too, t-shirts, books, whatever. He play's Bluey Monopoly Junior with his parents. Where does all that fit in your parent failure scale?

What if I also said he can read full books, including reading words like "Sensational" or "Teleportation", while at kinder age?

Or that he builds full Lego sets for 8+ year olds, without any help, and has been doing so since aged 4?

What if told you that most days, when I get home from work, as soon as he hears the front doorknob click, he yells "Daddy" and runs down the hall to give me a hug and wait for a kiss from Dad.

Have I passed your test yet? Have I failed him?

          Anyhow…

          I wonder…

How do you know Mr Beast sir? Via your kids? Or did you watch it alone as an adult?

          • -1

@dregs: “You have no idea about me or my kid, sir.”
-Righto, the typical “ yOu hAvE nO idEa abOuT mY LiFe” opening.

“He's 5 years old. Still at Kinder.”
-Condition them young, amiright? By 9yrs old wonder what he’ll be watching.

“What should he watch?” PBS Space Time?
-Yes, i hope he finds it interesting. I absolutely do.

“Please mister super-parent, how do I give my kid a better life?”
-Don’t condition him to watch brain rot media at this young an age would be a start. Also you’re making me blush.

“What if I told you he likes watching CrunchLabs, and is asking for a CrunchLabs build box for Christmas? Is that acceptable or a fail?”
-Definitely acceptable, and i believe most parents would think so too. That’s a great start.

“$200 for 3 boxes is the minimum. Buy it? or am I stupid?”
-No idea, Only you can answer this question. Only Spend with your means. Although $66.7 each isn’t too bad, 1 for birthday, 1 for Christmas, the remainder for being good to him grandma.

“Oh yeah, we don't spend all our time watching Mr Beast & the likes”
            -Thank goodness.

“His absolute favourite show though, is Bluey - I've bought him Bluey toys and other Bluey branded stuff too, t-shirts, books, whatever. He play's Bluey Monopoly Junior with his parents.”
-Absolutely, Bluey is a wonderful cartoon lesson for kids, perhaps even some parents. Without question, it is infinitely better than mrbeast and other similar shows.

“Where does all that fit in your parent failure scale?”
-No idea, do you let him watch any other visual diarrhoea aside from mr.b?
If yes, then it’s a fail. If no, then you should still erase mrbeat from his viewing schedule.

“What if I also said he can read full books, including reading words like "Sensational" or "Teleportation", while at kinder age?”
-Good! Better than good, Fantastic even.
Encourage him to read more books and less media garbage.

“Or that he builds full Lego sets for 8+ year olds, without any help, and has been doing so since aged 4?”
-Good! Keep it up, more of this and less of mr.b.

“What if told you that most days, when I get home from work, as soon as he hears the front doorknob click, he yells "Daddy" and runs down the hall to give me a hug and wait for a kiss from Dad.”
-Again, Good! Keep it up, more of this and less of mr.b.

“Have I passed your test yet? Have I failed him? “
-50/50 mate, you pass by encouraging him to read and watch bluey & science.
You failed by letting him consume media like mr.b at his age. They haven’t developed the cognitive skills to discern media rubbish at that level, you are responsible for that duty.

“How do you know Mr Beast sir? Via your kids? Or did you watch it alone as an adult?”
-Via News outlet. Then i watched some of his clips on YouTube, it left me intellectually poorer than before i hit play.

So with all that out of the way, Hope this answers yours queries. And remember, don’t let your kids watch media garbage: Garbage in, garbage out.

All the best with your parenting.

        Gross dude

He's wealthy enough to pay us to keep these.

    • I thought Labubus were all the rage now? Long lines everywhere I go in Sydney CBD.

Bro made a toy line based off his fursona 💀

  • +4

He looks like a sociopath lacking all emotion with his fake smile.

    • -3

But his smiles are real though. You can’t fake a smile and expect 400m sub.

      • +4

Not sure if you are joking or serious. He has a whole team optimising the videos to increase viewership and sub count.

  • -3

I would rather get cancer and die

    • So you don't rate the deal?

What about a different figure - what's your thoughts on this deal for a Transformers Beast Wars figure?

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/885757

      Please circle your answer below:

      Cancer & death | broken leg | slight nausea | excitement | "I feel like a god"

      • "I feel like a god"

        • They're essentially the same deal for similar action figures.

So, as I said before, you'd have no issue with someone negging a PS5 for $200 if their reasoning was "I'd rather get cancer than buy anything Sony", despite it being one of the best ever bargains posted here.

Oh look, a deal for Pink Floyd on vinyl - nah it's not a deal, I don't like Pink Floyd, so I'll give it a negative vote. OP should be posting what I want to buy, not what others might like.

          • @dregs: Ah yes, you reminded me of that famous Roger Waters quote:

"We live in a world where all of us need to stick together and stand up against injustice… unless it's illegal lotteries targeted at children, then by all means let's BEAST IT UP, BROSKI!!!"

  • now sure if this or the Ryan's world toys and switch game are worst.
