I bought the 4-pack a few weeks back for around $1799. Whilst really expensive, the quality of these is fantastic and the app is pretty good (not amazing - a few annoyances - but I can't complain). The built-in self-solar recharging is super handy as you never need to take them down.
I believe this 2-pack comes with one external solar panel, so you can hook up your camera under shade and have the solar auto-charging it in daytime. The 4-pack came with two solar panels. They work really well and the solar-powered cameras are permanently around 100% charge. One of my cameras with about 70% daytime sunlight hovers around 85% charge. The one that gets around 30% daylight hovers around 30-40% (I'll probably need to readjust the position, but it's hovered around this % for the last 3-4 weeks).
Just bear in mind that, being battery powered, they're not constantly recording and are motion-activated. I've found the app really useful as you can define the zones that you want to track motion, to reduce the false-flag notifications. You can also customise the recording duration/sensitivity to balance between surveillance/recording time, and battery life.
Edit: I forgot to mention, the wifi range seems quite good. I have one that's outside, approx 25-30 metres away from my router (inside, through the building), and the wifi signal is good.

    • Thanks didn't know it came with a separate solar in the kit 👍

If you run permanent power you can have them record 24/7. I have a couple of these out the front running off a USB hub up in the roof so they permanently record anything driving or walking past and partially cover the neighbours yard too, night vision with these is phenomenal. I then have just 3x standard older motion activated ones around the rest of the home, as anything inside the property boundary would be triggered anyway with those and the required range is closer anyway. The older motion activated ones are now being charged by the solar panel that came with this kit via a 3 way USB-C splitter, seems to be providing enough charge to keep them fully topped up.

    • I got the E340 floodlight camera installed yesterday (needs 240v). Integrates seamlessly into the current Eufy setup. Much better quality image than my legacy Cam 2 Pro 2K cameras and really bright floodlight. Highly recommended.

    • You just have to be ready to deal with the service team when you need it. They will replace them within warranty quite easily. Just a pain when it's on a 2 level house and installed on the eaves.

  • I currently have Ring doorbell and Arlo, both of these cost a fair bit for the subscription, looking to replace them with Eufy. What would be a good replacement in terms of which model Eufy? What about Eufycam 3 (2pack)?
