Mate, dont go mate, if you play games you will regret it so many ping and latency issues. I was in Sydney Inner West.

Have been with Leaptel for the past 3 months, it's been perfect.

Used to be with ABB, they were also perfect but $$

    • Don't go with Mate. Give Leaptel a go. There is Buddy Telco if you want the Aussie BB network.

      • Thanks. will check Buddy. i heard they only provide chat based customer service.

        • Yeah that is right. Buddy Telco contact hours…

Our Perth-based live chat team is available Monday to Friday, 11am-7pm (AEST). If you need help outside of these hours, our customer service chatbot offers a range of self-serve options.

Leaptel has a AU call centre if you prefer.

  • Be glad your not on wireless in the country

  • Great news! You're already connected by ultra-fast nbn® fibre!
Unfortunately, you're not eligible for the fibre upgrade promotional offer, but you can still choose one of our great nbn plans at a special new customer promotional price. T&Cs apply.

But my house nor me never was connected to any nbn.
    No promotional for me. Why?

    • nbn has marked your location as FTTP and no more FTTN. You can get FTTP 100/20 $79.95 per month 12 months or any of the other speed tiers @ Leaptel. 100/20 boosts to 500/50 from September.

      • It's rubbish that the rest of us have to wait.

        • It is what it is. nbn picked September for 500/50. Leaptel are working around that by purchasing 1000/50 and making it 500/50.

  • Good ISP but keep an eye on your emails from Leaptel, you may not get the deal that's advertised.

This is from the previous deal:

NBN has forced the FTTP upgrade at your address, so the FTTP exclusive pricing of $64.95 is not available. We can offer the standard $74.95 pricing for the 100mbps plan. With this in mind, do you wish to proceed with the FTTP upgrade?

No idea what 'forced the FTTP upgrade' meant and they never replied back when I asked them.

    • Leaptel's website tells you if 500/50 is available after you enter your location. You don't need to wait for an email.

The majority of FTTP upgrades are optional and can get this deal.

There are select locations where nbn has marked the address as FTTP only and no more FTTN and they can't get 500/50 until September.

      • I went through the process and confirmed the deal on their website first. They changed the deal on me later via email.

        • That is old pricing and doesn't apply to this deal.

Optional upgrading to FTTP (most locations): 500/50 $79.95/m for 12 months.
nbn marks the address as FTTP only (forced): 100/20 $79.95/m for 12 months (500/50 from September).

  • Will leaptel do this price on opticomm fibre?

    • +1

      No, OptiComm don't sell 500/50.

      • -1

They only seem to have 500/200 for $130/MTH for 6 months i.e. 62% higher price and discount for half as long.

        C'mon Leaptel, do better!

        • +1

It's up to OptiComm to make 500/50 available. If they do I'm sure Leaptel will sell it.

I'd been paying lazy tax to these guys for a few months. Last month, their payment reminders starting going to my Junk folder - so I missed payment and a week later my internet drops. I called tech support thinking I had an outage, and was told I'd been cut off. I made immediate payment - no harm, no foul. Today, I got slugged with a $15 late fee. 20 minutes later, I have a new ISP. So…. thanks?

  • How long before you can churn back again to Leaptel to avail of promo?

    • 12 months however sometimes they don't give you a second round of discounts. Give Leaptel a call.
