I love my Bellroy Venture Sling but it was way overpriced even at the $135 I paid for it.

Who knows. But it's a cheap crappy bag, not like it's a nice leather bag. Does it really matter?
I've been using one of these for about a year and performs flawlessly other than sometimes the strap buckle slowly slips to max length, no big deal.
I use the larger one for a travel/camera bag and it is also quite good.

We've liked the two Bellroy products we've bought. I think we have one of these slings and it's been good. Didn't pay quite this much though.

Poor old bellroy is coping a flogging here.
I found a virtually new one in Savers for $3.99. It's ok except the strap ends were completely frayed. I cut them off, removed the strap and turned it into a tech pouch. The quality of the item itself seems great, weak points are the straps.
