RIP people who bought from this deal- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/906009

I've done some DIY repairs on mine - replaced seals and the wand wiring. Still going strong after 6 years…!

    • 3 years for mine, and had a year on it as a refurb… now need to put in a new wand - $120. Love the unit. Kinda hoped the wand would last longer!

      • Is it the wand or just the tip?

My issue was the PID wasn't working properly - I bought the tip for $20 off ebay and repaired it myself

          just the tip - gig

        • Frayed wires just above the sensor from it turning, so it was intermittently shorting out.. my plan is to cut the frayed section out and solder in new wire, that I can heat wrap… then I can have a working unit to swap back in, as it seems like this is the most common problem these units have, as long as you keep descaling them..

where to buy the parts? I need a seal for steam tap, it drips.

Thanks OP! I must have got one of the last ones. Just in time! Such a good deal that there wasn't much risk in grabbing it and thinking later.

  • Thanks OP! Managed to get 1 about 10mins ago.

Imagine seeing this and not having eBay plus, only to sign up and it's sold out.

    Amazing price!

  • Damn would've absolutely jumped on this if it were available

  • Breville refurbished is generally like new. And this price is very good. I paid about that for a refurb express pro

  • I'm having issue with hot water dispensing only for abt 5secs on the pro version. Anyone else have same issue or recommend checking to fix?

    • I had a similar issue on my pro version this week. The 5 seconds issued occurred on both hot water and coffee extraction. While I was searching on YouTube, manage to find a solution the comments.
      1. Fill up the water tank and drop it into the slot few times. This extended my run time to around 10 seconds.
      2. Do a coffee extraction and pull out the water tank while it is running. This will suck in air into the water pump.
      3. Using hotwater function to reprime the water pump.

      Good luck

  • Received mine yesterday. Slight delay by AusPost because they incorrectly sorted it
Apart from that, the coffee machine is close to brand new, but I could see some minor scratches here and there
