    I was thinking to buy pro then i thought about my ps4 pro. When they stopped making games for ps4 it also stop for ps4 pro as well even though it had much better hardware. Same thing with ps5 pro, also at such high price and no disc drive. I dont know what they smoking. Anyways, dont wanna buy pro models which is probably have few years left and then sony drop ps6 and no more games for ps5 along with ps5 pro.

      Yup that disc drive without, is totally BS. I don't buy the idea of digital versions. Can't play my disc library until I pay for a disc drive. This is insane… It's now a privilege to own disc games rofl

      You want to talk about short life.. I'm a PS5 guy now.. But ages ago I was in X360.. The xbox one.. Then I bought the xbox one x. It was maybe 2 years left and then the series x came out. New games didn't run on xbox one x despite it being so much more powerful than a one. But yeah it was like 2 years and then dropped Even to this day I have it and it runs Hal9 5, and RDR2 and Gears 5 beautifully. But yeah never getting a pro type console again. I actually still have my base ps4.. I remember it being crap but I miss the menus and even that does decent on older games. And RDR2 looks amazing for a 13yo old console.
      Also, my ps5 can't hold a controller for like 2 years.. I've changed so many. My ps5 also is currently in for repairs for the 3rd time.. Meanwhile.. My ps4 has been faultless.. The planned obsolence is insane.

          You won't get the best experience.
          You'll be running the game at 30 fps, even the Pro is questionable running it at 60 fps.

        Consoles will be the only way to play GTA6 when it releases. PC release is delayed by a year or more so Rockstar can double dip on people who can't wait and buy it twice.

    Do I want this? I haven't bought one yet, mainly because I have an old tv (from 2009). However, I think I want to play GTA VI when it comes out, and may as well play some games in the meantime too.

        I probably will. Only reason I've resisted is because I don't watch much tv, but I would use it for gaming. It wasn't necessary for PS4.

          I had an old TV like you but recently upgraded to a Sony X90L. The PS4 gaming doesn't have better resolution as you are implying, but I can tell you it looks much better than my old TV. So still worth upgrading your TV before the PS5.

    Just knew ps5 pro has no disc drive and sold separately…. Seriously Sony thinks our internet is fast enough here to download all the games in store and we cannot use disc games. So you need to pay extra for the privilege to own disc games. WTF!?

    You might as well get the disc PS5 version stick a SSD in it.

    They're not that great value, but Pro Enhanced games on a nice big OLED look amazing. The PS+ catalogue had me covered so I didn't even get a disc drive until 6 months later when my PS4 RDR2 disc tempted me too much to jump back in. If you're in the market for a Playstation and have a decent TV, you're doing yourself a massive disservice not just getting the Pro IMO.

    Next year, the PS6 will continue gaining attention, and GTA6 will be released for the PS5 at the end of 2026 as the final major title for that console. Then in 2027, the PS6 will launch with a graphically upgraded version of GTA6.

    So, buy now or one year later will remain same price. If you are willing to play GTA6 early, buy PS5 some point before releasing GTA6. and prepare spending more on PS6 and GTA6-PS6 version. This is how SONY makes money. We all know this right? from PS3-PS4 (GTA5)
