Hey - so the organisers of the Melbourne International EV Autoshow have set up the same system as they had last year where you can get tickets for free through their back end, rather than paying through Ticketmaster!

To get the free tickets,

  1. Visit: https://www.futuredriveauto.au/melb/ev25/complimentary-ticke…
  2. Select your preferred day
  3. Fill in your details
  4. Use Promo Code: ELECTRIC ANY CODE LISTED HERE
  5. A QR code will be sent for entry

I'm not sure how many free tickets are available, but I just got mine :D

      You can test drive the vehicles whilst you're there and there's a live stage and other stuff going on like an electric go kart course :) Was fun for the family last year

      make sense somewhere else but not here. basically who pays for these kind of shows are being robbed (cat/dog lovers, baby expo, etc), the host charges both business and customers which makes no sense at all…

          well, there's costs related to create/distribute video content, someone has to pay for it.

          As the audience, we either pay directly to the creators/distributors, or pay the business guys by seeing their ads.

          the key difference here is that we have either, ads or pay, NOT both.

                @EVLover98: I think people said it does not work, clicked on the wrong place/ link. They need to click on your link, then pick the day (1, 2, or 3) they want in the middle of the screen, not the pink button "GET TICKETS" which will get them to tickmetmaster.

      Wrong, same or less than a similar performance and price vehicle.
      I drive a 4sec 0-100 Tesla M3 LR and insurance is less than $1000 in QLD with RACQ!

      The cost to insure those EVs are astronomical.

      Do you have a comparative quote you could share as evidence of this? Because mine is cheaper than my previous ICE car. Car is insured for 50% more but premium is 30% cheaper

    If it is anything like the event in ICC Sydney, you would be disappointed. Large floor space were empty. Showing car models that are not coming to AU (Zeekr). However, a few more Chinese companies have come since then and maybe, there would be more vendors.

    FYI, I sat in KIA EV6 for the first time and was genuinely shocked how bad the materials were compared to the chinese counterparts and what price they are asking.
