I would make sure it's food grade and use food grade nozzles. Grinds, water, gaps in the layers can become a recipe for fungal growth…

Serious question: More gadget or actual benefit?
My puck does not come out watery squishy as in the photo, it’s alright. What does this thing actually do?
I find that it keeps my grouphead and pipes cleaner. My backflushes and descaling come out clear compared to my friend who doesn't use one.
No gimmick. This, a leveling tool and a blind shaker is all I use for my routine. This helps stop the grinds being sucked up the group head. What it essentially means is i dont have to use harsh chemicals to flush the group head which strips the lubricant from the e61 group head. I now only have to flush the group head less than once every 6 months instead of once a month.

Great price, and it seems like a cute idea for a gadget, but the quality of the image on the screen looks really low contrast and poor quality.
I doubt you could even read the time off it.
